Q: What's the width of the XL model, looking to replace another brand with this one

cut out is 14" 11/16 x 27" 1/8, flap size is 12"x23"

Q: I haver a border collie, which size should I get? I'm in between a medium and a large

I have a border collie/ mcnab and a pitbull and I got the large. Remember to set it at least 4 to 6 inches from the bottom of the door or floor. I've had mine for 2 years and it's still beautiful and doesn't let in any drafts and closes securely.

Q: For people who have had this door for a couple years or more: how well does it hold up to daily use?

It’s held up great. I had four dogs until March, so lots of going in and out. The pup I was raising to be a service and my shepherd were busy playing outside and then inside. Shepherd still uses it a lot every day, not so often for my senior dogs. Tried the flimsy flap that warped quickly causing magnets to not hold. This one is worth the money as it holds its shape and magnets are still working great.

Q: Will the flap break off from repeated hits at high speeds from 90 lb. Dogs?

I have had it for 2 years now and it still just like new. I had a lab mix that was 65 Lbs and I now have a 5 month Black Lab who is 45 Lbs and still growing. He hits it at high speed several times a day and it shows no signs of wear.
