I installed this pump in my 1998 ML320 and it’s working perfectly as intended. The input/output holes are a different size from the pump on the w163, but only 4 screws hold the pump and top together. Just switch the two, as long as the old one isn’t cracked, and you won’t have to worry about stretching or cracking your hoses.

Installed on my 93 corrado vr6, I live in a hot climate state, and these pumps are necessary to keep the notoriously hot vr6 from heat soaking after a hard drive. This is an oem bosch product, and would definitely purchase again, as these pumps often fail after being on a Volkswagen or audi for 20 years.

Don't waste your money on Cheap replacements
I purchased an aftermarket brand pump to have the thing start making strange noises after 2 months worth of use. I purchased this Bosch replacement pump and so far its completely silent for the past month.

In the picture is the oem and the one ordered. Same part number made by Bosch. The installation was obviously straight forward and the operation works flawlessly. I changed the other one out because of a pump internal leak. Works good so far.

Amazing it still worked
Product was shipped in original Bosch box never intended to be used for that function inside a simple plastic bag not padded. It’s a wonder that the product made it unscathed no thanks to very poor Amazon handling. When you are depending on a part to work you don’t need to introduce avoidable damage.
