Had looked at cheaper fire pits before stepping up the search to this one. Glad I did. Had an issue with gas smell which I called manufacturer on...not kidding when they say you need to use two wrenches to get the hose tight. Fixed. Also had some missing screws which they sent quickly. They also graciously sent a new stainless top since mine got dinged up in transit. Really impressed.As for unit performance, it holds its own up against the Chicago winds on a roofdeck. I did need to add the glass fencing which takes up premium wine glass space. Could use more heat output but it wasn't the reason I bought it.

Perfect size with great style. BTUs are sufficient for a little heating but will need another heat source for colder months. Reasonable construction. About 20% over priced. I installed a plate on the bottom that allows the whole unit to be moved without disconnecting the propane tank.

Three of four corners on silver top are split from shipping.....who don't talk to get a new one?I love it but I need a new top from shipping damage.....

There's an aternate to the official glass fencing for less than half price at treesntrends: the Hanamint guard fits perfectly and is shown in my picture. That is the Starfire Glass in Onyx from Amazon. One package is the perfect amount for an upgrade from iridescent beads that come with it.I got lucky and managed to pick up one of these for half retail. Worth every penny. It was extremely hard to find something chic and minimalist, instead of faux brick or stone with a giant space killing margin sticking out. If you have a small space, this is the best there is.
