Easy to install and works as advertised.
No more getting off to move backward. Set up is fairly easy and it seem to be a real solid unit. I did have to buy another sprocket for my application, but easy to source here on Amazon.Price 5 starsValue 5 stars

Initial fitment review (unless updated)
Just a few things. Haven't seen anyone post pictures of the inside of these yet so here's a bunch of photos for everyone's reference. Output shaft doesn't slip fit to a TAV2 30 series style torque converter driven pulley without a little work. The pulley could probably be press fit but I opted to sand the output shaft down a few thousandths to slip it on. The key provided in the hardware kit needed thinned down as well.A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES!: If you disassemble yours, you will need to remove the sprocket, 5 flange bolts and 2-8mm allen bolts. Also, remove detent retention bolt for shift lever, detent spring and detent ball bearing BEFORE opening to prevent damage to spring. Ask me how I know this, was able to repair my spring. Gasket is paper and fell apart upon disassembly, I used ultra black RTV to seal the two halves together again without going around the internal vent chamber walls for fear of blocking the two half moon passageways. CAUTION: insert all internals into bigger half making sure to align shift fork with shift arm BEFORE putting detent ball, spring and bolt back in. Check for function before sealing and installing back cover and GENTLY bring everything in line again between the two halves.Waiting for RTV to dry now, will update when I can install and run this thing.

Perfect fit!!
The gear box was a perfect fit for our kids’ Hammerhead Mudhead 208r go-kart. So far it works great and arrived 3-4 days early. Very pleased.

I will purchase again.
Not having directions. But once I messed with it I figured it out. Also the driven shaft is to big for a 30 series torque converter. I I got my driven gear half way on and it wouldn't move either way so I finally got it off and sanded the shaft with 600 grit sandpaper until would go on with minimal effort.

Pretty decent
Overall seems pretty well made make sure unit is filled to correct level with lube. I used 80w90 non synthetic gear oil. Securely mounted and sprockets aligned, unit should perform as expected

This is only to be used with chain that it says.
I dislike that it did not have a bracket and I had to find it from go power sports. The package was not great but the worst was they forgot to put hardware for it. And also my sprocket on my kart is 530 so I had to find a specific sprocket to fit the transmission hope that a c-type #50 5/8 bore will work, if anyone is also doing this please give me some advice? Thanks

Difficult to install. Not good tolerance of components
Bought for the kids go kart 6 months ago. Thought it would be pretty straight forward. There are no instructions. There is reference to a you tube video but that is not very helpful showing the details of the install it is more about a couple of dudes garage hacking it together. I am a mechanical engineer so I was able to figure it out.The big problem is that the diameter of the shaft is several thousandths larger than the 5/8" driven sheave from the original jack-shaft (Tecumseh 6.0 powersports engine on a Manco 486 kart). I have now spent several hours sanding down the shaft with emry cloth. The steel bushings do not fit over the threads on the shaft so those had to be ground out. Not sure what to use the nylon bushing for. You can't mount it close enough to the engine to use the original shaft spacing so I had to order a longer belt and fabricate a new belt guard. Still finishing it up. I am hopeful that it works good. It appears to be good quality parts and it will be a great enhancement to our kart just wish it was made to tighter tolerance on the shaft and parts. I can accept the other variances as this was not designed for a 25 year old Manco cart. I will update my review and add some pictures after I get it running.
