Bag of 144 loose ball bearings, 5/32" size.

I just won the 5/32" ball bearing lottery!
Like many others here, I was planning to simply say "it was a bag of 144 ball bearings. Big whup." But to my surprise & delight, it turned out to be a bag of 152 ball bearings! I don't know how Amazon is hoping to stay in business if they keep just giving away mass quantities of stuff like this!

Great bag of balls
I have an old bike that I have used to commute to school with for the past 5 years, and before that was pulled out of a trash heap. Needless to say just about every part that could need some repair did. I wasn't sure what size bearings I would need before I started refurbishing it so I picked up one bag of each size. I haven't used these bearings yet, but the others I purchased are performing great. Replace/repack your bearings regularly and the contact surfaces will last longer (ie, you wont need to buy new wheels or bottom brackets as often)FYI, for those unsure, google 'Sheldon Brown Bearings' and he has some good info on what sizes are needed for what parts. The most important ones are 1/4" for most bottom brackets and rear hubs, and 3/16" for most front hubs.

replaced the factory headset bearings on my twenty year old ...
replaced the factory headset bearings on my twenty year old Trek hybrid. the originals were 16 balls in cages, top and bottom. i replaced the caged bearings with these loose ones. I used 26 balls in the top race and 23 in the bottom, with space leftover for one. the caged bearings were not strong enough for a 200 pound rider but now these loose packed in there in greater numbers, the headset feels rock solid and adjusts properly!

I was able to fix my sliding tool box drawers ...
I was able to fix my sliding tool box drawers. Although I ordered two sets of different sliders in order to replace the non functioning drawer, they were too large which is the reason I bought these and it worked. Thank you.

Good quality, just what's needed if you damage the bearing retainer in your headset.
I damaged a bearing retainer on my old Fuji Allegro (the piece that holds the bearings at the same distance from one another) so the headset was impossible to get adjusted correctly. I packed the races with grease and as many of these as would fit and it works perfectly, maybe better than new.Recommended!
