Earthdog Martingale Hemp Dog Collar, Star Pattern

We have a 16mo Cane Corso who started wearing the collar at 6 months old. I LOVED the blue color on him! And up until today thought I loved the collar. It has been in use for 9 months. Our boy has basically worn it daily; however, this isn’t the collar we use when out and about on a leash. The only time it is clipped to something is in the car or hanging outside on a 30ft lead. Today he saw a neighbor dog while at the opposite end of the lead and took off about 60ft before snapping the collar and rushing towards the neighbor. Thankfully he just wanted to play but I can’t imagine thinking I was holding him back from a confrontation on a walk only to have it snap in my hands. I believe the cloth became Worn and compromised over time making the collar fail.

We live this type of collar. We’re lucky our Blue Heeler mix doesn’t pull much. So this is perfect for our walks in the city. It tightens enough when she sees our city bunnies and thinks about chasing them. Plus the color palette is cool and vintage-looking, not primary color garish.

Love this collar! My little Marty gets lots of compliments on it!! Fits good, is a little wide, but still works great, he doesn’t seem to mind!

These are great collars. They do not rub the neck area like stiff nylon collars. These are great for short haired dogs, but my long haired also likes his.
