Chess Endgame for Beginners: The Complete Beginner’s Guide to Delivering Checkmate Kindle Edition

This is the fourth Klein chess book I've purchased and I could not be more satisfied. I have gone from being the most unexperienced chess noob ever to being able to play and even win games against people who have played for years. These books are definitely the best for chess beginners and Klein's teaching style makes it easy to understand new concepts. I highly recommend them all if you are a chess beginner.

This book does some things really well and other things really poorly. The endgames that are included are covered really well with good explanations and plenty of diagrams. The problem is that this is a book for beginners and some endgames that should be covered are not included whereas other endgames, like mate with knight and Bishop and the complex rook endings between Alekhine and Capablanca, in my opinion have little relevance for beginners.

This book read like as a, true, beginners guide to the game of chess....this and, the same authors two other books "Chess openings for beginners" and, I think, "Chess rules for beginners (sic) ." All three books have introduced and taught me enough to, practice on my own. I've always been interested in chess but, it always seemed, elusive almost, from the instruction of others. Believe me, I've bought, plenty of books on the subject, enough to where, I think I should have a turn at being, Grand Master? Maybe, maybe not but, these books were accessible to, the regular folk....I know that's a, long shot, considering myself, regular but, I think you should get my point?

The page printing is really quite amateurish, reminded me of my university thesis - should really be retailing at half the price it is given this low quality and a page count of only 90
