I like these chewable calcium tablets and they are not easy to find. Glad they are back.

By my late-20's I was osteopenic and encouraged to supplement with a minimum of 1,000 mg of calcium per day. Because I take other supplements and medication daily, I was hoping this chewable calcium + vitamin D would be able to replace my morning glug of pills, and it has to some extent.Each chewable is about the size of a nickel, but thick. I think it has a fake sweet taste to it, and although not chalky, its not fantastic either. However, each one has 600 mg of calcium and 400 mg of vitamin D, so I prefer it to many of the other non-chewables. I'm not happy that each one has a trace amount of partially hydrogenated soybean oil in it, as that is trans fat. It may not be much, but all the "trace" amounts we consume throughout the day add up.To weigh the pros and cons... Two chewable Caltrate versus swallowing 4-6 of the other options, fruity taste with 10 calories per pill versus Viactiv's with 1/2 gram of fat per chew, inexpensive compared to other calcium chewable supplements. I give it 5 stars for cost, convenience and content but less 1 for the partially hydrogenated oil listed. I'll continue to use and recommend.

I was diagnosed with peri osteoporosis several years ago (when I was in my 50s). My bones are repairing themselves nicely. I read recently that if your body doesn't get enough calcium, it takes it from your bones. Maybe that's what happened to me.Caltrate is particularly good because it now has double the Vitamin D3, more than any other leading brand. Vitamin D3 helps maximize calcium absorption to support bone and muscle strength to help keep you moving. They are working great for me and they taste great too.

I love these they taste like Flintstone vitamins, but they are extra large, I chew them up, but keep alittle water nearby cause they can get a tiny bit chalky when you swallow, but not bad, I hate taking pills and these I take consistently, you should take with magnesium to help your body absorb or you could get kidney stones, so I use a spray on my skin.that I make from a product on amazon, just add water.

These have the least chalky taste I have found yet. They are faintly fruit flavored - my tweens say they can tell the difference between the purple ones and the pink ones, but I can't. Research is strong that kids, particularly girls, have a lower chance of osteoporosis if they take calcium supplements during their teenage years, and it is good for Mom, as well. I like that this has the Vitamin D inside to help with absorption - more Vitamin D is good for all of us.

I ordered a pack of 2 but only received 1.Ive used this product many times and really like it.

While I would prefer calcium citrate for absorption purposes I return time and again to these because they are easily eatable compared to all the other brands i've tried. Better to take something than buy better absorption and not take it at all. Taste is smooth and not overly sweet or tart. Now if the would just do the same with the citrate form.
