Don't waste your money
This was a 40 page book, and probably a third of that was pictures of people jumping / dunking. The section on biomechanics was rudimentary; I'm not sure the author even understood the studies he tried to describe in this (short) section. The exercises? Box jumps, squats and dead lifts. I actually thought I'd missed a section giving me some real training suggestions. The remainder of the book (which was a significant percentage of the pages) listed daily routines for these few exercises mentioned. It was something I could have found free on the internet. And there's an audiobook for this?? That would probably take 5 minutes to listen to, tops. Don't waste your money.

Still can't dunk even after reading twice.
But seriously this book explains exactly what you need to do( in easy steps) to dunk a basketball. My vertical is way higher now in just 6 months of training / practice. I still cant dunk a real ball but I'm satisfied with the improvements. After reading it's kind of a let down but it was also obvious that it was going to take a lot of practice and patience to get there. There's no secret. Get a tennis ball and start trying to dunk it. Stop practicing if you're getting tired. Practice practice and practice.

Basic workout plan, about 20 years outdated
The info is good, detailing mainly a 4-week program without variations. It REPORTS that nutrition is as important as working out, but gives NO detail on such. Also covers nothing of recovery, with involves more than just rest. Worse, it gives static stretching that has been publicly discouraged by pro trainers for the last 20 years.

A perfect solution for your vertical jump
I enjoy basketball and playing with my son is the best. I do not have much jump and he always can jump higher than me. I looked all over the internet and nothing worked. Finally, I found this book on “How to Dunk if You’re Under 6 feet tall.” This may best-kept secret ever. It is easy to follow and through a combination of video resources and the author put it in great step-by-step detail, making it easy to understand. The most useful area for me was the instructions and workouts. He effectively explains what works and what does not work. This was great when setting up my own fitness program to improve my vertical jump. I have seen some changes in my jump and continue to see improvements. Best of all for the knowledge you will receive and the improvement you will obtain, this book is also a great price.I would recommend this book for anyone who has a love for the game or just wants a great workout to improve your vertical jump.

Young players should definitely read it!
I found this book while looking for something to improve the skills in basketball. My teenager cousin is very passionate about this game and I’m always trying to help him out with an advice and practical tricks to make him a better player. He is not the tallest bloke in the team and he always wanted to jump higher. Luckily he has a big potential because he is fast and good learner. So I got this book for him and we went through together and tried straight away in the court. I have to admit that many things written in the book were pretty new for us. I found there not only the general explanations how to dunk for short guys but also the workout program including video links with simple and easy instructions “how to” and “how not to”. Especially I found useful vertical jump workout chapter – detailed info why to do that way and not the other way, even in video tutorial you can find the comments of most common mistakes. My cousin now is more motivated to practice how to dunk like a boss.I haven’t read similar articles about that specific subject before. This is a good book for a good price, no regrets. To be good in action you have to know the theory, young players should definitely read it!

Very small book
All this book discusses is nutrition and some exercises. It is very short. There is no program for improving, no methodology and no real discussion of how to dunk.

Simple but not easy
Simple plan but if followed and done with consistency/effort, I'm sure benefits to vertical jumping and overall athleticism will happen

Saved the day to all!
Here is the thing. Even if you think you do not need this book but you are playing basketball be sure - you need this one. Here is why. I really had no idea this will be met with such enthusiasm. We got the book for the friends son, 16 year old Barty. Next to snickers we gave him, he did not even see or react on this book. We knew he is devoted to this sport and he was much appreciated in his school team so I thought he would take interest. After good few weeks, I got the call from Barty's dad telling me I will receive the call from Barty very soon. Well, he was wrong - I received a call to a game! After the game Barty and his team mates were explaining us how they got the 'missing link' in this work and how they improved jumping and springing power by the advices from this practical manual.

Don’t buy it, here’s why
This book taught me nothing at all. Your grandma already told you everything about the nutrition part in this book (drink water, don’t eat too much carbs, get a lot of sleep, bla bla bla...). The author talks about stretching for recovery, but NEVER mentioned any exercises for mobility (mostly hips and ankles), and how much it’s important for a vertical jump. Also we all know that pure strength reps range starts from 5 to 8 (average). Above that, you’ill just start using slow twitch muscle fibers that will never help you to jump higher. The program starts with 4 x 12 reps on squats and the last week is 4 x 8 reps (with more weights), way outdated.I’m not a coach or anything, but as an athlete I am now working with a kinesiologist to improve my vert and I think that’s where you’ill find all your answers. It’s not just that the book is basic, basics is where the goal is as Kobe would say. It’s because theses basics are not complete and a lot are outdated (like static stretches just after your workout, don’t do that plz).Don’t buy it.

Don't buy
Thought it was a book with material to learn. Just a repetitive workout sheet that doesn't even tell you how to perform the workout. Waste of money
