So many of the reviews contain a random string of miscellaneous upper case letters as part of the reviewer's I.D. That is probably how the bogus reviewers get paid (by counting those upper case strings).I received the camera on time.Immediately started the process to connect to my wifi. Attempted (numerous times) to scan the QR code.It simply does NOT work.Then I tried the "other" wifi method and that did not work.So then I connected the LAN cable to try the "other" "LAN" method.I was able to connect using the LAN method. After being successful (finally), I disconnected the LAN cable. The phone did an automatic reboot. When it quit spinning around, I disconnected the LAN cable and still had a live image.Then I disconnected my iPhone from the wifi, logged into my Verizon LTE and still have a live image.So, I was able to connect. However, all the bogus rave reviews about how simple and easy the setup is are simply lies.During my initial efforts to use the QR code, the EyeCloud app directed me to connect to IPC----. I've been using computers since 1982 (CPM; MS DOS; Windows and now Mac OSX) and have no clue what they are talking about.Bottom line, it works, so they get two stars. Because of the difficulty in connecting it and especially because of all the bogus reviews, I take away three stars (tempted to take four!).

The reviews are all fake. I attached a picture of verbatim reviews from two different reviewers. It is one of many.That being said, I haven't had any issues with the camera in the few days that I have had it. Setting up was a pain - only the LAN option worked...eventually. I work in IT, so the fact that I was having issues with the wireless connection was unusual. After about 30 minutes, I just gave up and hardwired in.I am also unsure about the security of camera - no information around encryption or anything else. It is online all the time - no shut off button, unless you unplug it. There doesn't seem to be security or notifications if someone else were to join the stream. I use the camera to keep an eye on my dogs while I am at work. It concerns me that it is on while I am lounging on the couch on the evenings.In short, it works, but I'm not thrilled with it and feel a bit hoodwinked by the fake reviews. I may be exchanging for a different, more secure camera. I ordered in a bit of a rush due to some dog behavior issues and did not pay as much attention as I normally do.

So I came back to leave a review after getting this camera set up yesterday. I just noticed the fake reviews. Bought this camera because of the high rating, so I guess they got me.I was able to hook up this camera no problem. Got it running on a WiFi connection pretty good. The picture is okay although I wish there was a zoom function. Night vision mode is pretty decent also.The only major issue I see is that the sound coming out of the camera speaker is pretty bad. My puppy was barking while we were away and we could hear him okay through my phones app. so we tested the microphone feature to speak through the phone to have it project to the speaker on the camera and it sounded pretty distorted and bad. The sound coming out of the camera wasn’t clear at all.The camera is pretty decent for the price tag, but it is definitely not a 5 star product.

Video was clear but was on all the time. We had installed a formatted SIMM card. There was no way to trigger capture of the video stream. Motion detection did not work. Two way sound did work. Bottom line, the main purpose was to use as a security camera in our primary living area with capture of video upon motion detection. This did not work.

JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK. DO NOT BUY! Connecting to WiFi was a P.I.T.A. Camera bookmarks do not work, camera gets stuck in weird positions, software has glitches and so many more horrible cons. The company knows it’s such crap that I tried to return the POS and they refunded me my full amount and said keep the camera they don’t take them back - NO LIE. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OTHER 433 reviews, they’re all false.

I can not get the camera to work!!! After trying one more weekend, I will attempt to return the devicce!Directions are spoken, but accent is difficult to understand.

Typical Chinese product. Terrible manual that appears to be translated from German to Chinese then into English. Connection of the camera to the wireless Ethernet kicks off my Motorola wireless camera and a couple HomeKit wireless Ethernet devices. Perhaps it could steal all my personal data and send directly to the Chinese government, then knock all my Ethernet devices offline...? Picture is decent after struggling to connect to wireless.

That may be an illiterate headline but this thing does not record. If anything its an overpriced spy camera
