Invert Aquatics 5 Catappa Leaves, 25 Alder Cones & 10 Mineral Balls for Aquariums (Indian Almond Leaves, Terminilia)

Arrived fast and I needed it! My newly acquired betta was stressed and was developing white cloudy stuff on one eye. These leaves, cones, and mineral balls worked like medicine for him. He is in a 2.5 Aqua bow so I tore off a 1"x1" piece of leaf and added one cone and 4/5 clay balls. The leaf is still intact. There is some type of root growing around the cone. The water has a yellowish or tanish cast to it. That is from the tanins the leaves and cones produce. These tanins are necessary for healthy bettas.I keep another tank (5 gal) with a full leaf and 4 cones to marinade. This is where I get water to top his tank as it evaporates. I do not need to do water changes bc I have 2 large java ferns, 2 moss balls (both for oxygen and eat the fish poo), and I also have the ceramic eco balls, which filter ph. Occasionally I'll use a turkey baster to pick off uneaten betta food or clumps of fish poo, which is then fed to my house plants.I use this water on my guppies, too. They are healthy and hearty.

The water did become a lot Darker , more natural ...(I did not boil them, I soaked in really hot water because I wanted the natural water look) the shrimp seem to love it tho, they’re not hiding as much.Great package deal with good price. Thank you :)I added 2 pics with the leaves/cones in, and one without it. Big difference is the water color but if you don’t like it you can buy activated carbon filter to remove Tannis coloration as well as boiling the cones/leaves.

All areived. Made water smelly. Had to do a water change.lost everything in my tank except the neons.and.one betta.

I use these in one of my paludariums and in a snail keep. Love it! Great little kit with multiple helpful items for a great price!
