for best positioning, peel away the edges and cut away ...
Do follow the suggestions made by another reviewer: for best positioning, peel away the edges and cut away the backing, so that you have a visual reference to all sides for alignment. Poke away the hole areas and CAREFULLY poke away the Apple logo while doing this too. For best results you'll also want to cut away the backing behind the logo (peel backing away, cut your way in ON THE BACKING material, then cut a rectangle away. That will give you perfect alignment of the logo and foot holes (as best as possible anyway). Once you have it aligned, press down one of the longer sides and pull away the rest of the backing while still hold the rest of the sticky vinyl up and away. Use your finger to slowly smooth and adhere the rest, going back and forth along the curve of the material. (Born prior to 1970's, think dot-matrix printer.) That will get it setting down smooth and bubble free.ISSUES:1. The material has minor flaws. Mine had several spots where I thought I'd trapped dirt, but no, it's the material. So don't expect a glass-like surface afterwards. There might be some bumps.2. It shipped in a US mail type cardboard sleeve, with the sheets just thrown in. One of the imperfections mentioned was actually a cut in the material. It's very minor, and hardly noticeable. But it's still damage, presumable via shipping.3. The laser-cut openings are not cut well. It you lift the vinyl away from the backing, you'll notice the cuts are not visible on the sticky side. They did not cut all the way through. This is a HUGE problems trying to pull away the logo and also the touch pad (which has a 1/8" frame section between the hand wrest and touch pad sections, that you're supposed to remove). It was scary getting the logo to peel away without triggering a rip. It was nearly impossible to get the touchpad frame separated. I ended up needing to use an X-Acto knife to cut through a start point, and even with that, unintentionally ripped part of the inner touchpad corner. Quite annoying. I probably would have given this 4 stars if not for this major manufacturing flaw.4. It doesn't wrap to the edges. Hey, you get what you pay for. But overall, it's not bad.

Good looks and good protection. Looks very cool.
Really like this. It looks exactly like the pictures. Very slick. Easy to put on but that because I watched this video which helped A LOT.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9Nf3k1FKEo ALSO READ MY INSTALLATION TIPS BELOW.I didn't like having a heavy plastic case on my mac and was not worried about drops as much as scratches. This cover lets me have the lightness of my mac sans cover but protects it from scratches and make it look great. All for only $16!A FEW TIPS!!!! READ THESE TIPS!!1) DO THE BOTTOM FIRST --- practice on the part you won't see as much THEN do the top.2) The video will tell you to remove the backing from the cover and then to put the backing back on leaving a small edge of the sticky sie of the cover exposed along the top and one side I did that but I also...3) addition to following the video's instructions I very carefully separated the backing from the cover itself and cut a hole in the middle of the backing so that I could see through the apple cutout and line it up with the apple on the mac before re applying the backing in the way the video suggested4) So when I put the backing back on about 1 inch of the top of the sticky side of the cover and one inch of the left side of the sticky side of the cover was exposed. In addition a small square had been cut out of the middle of the backing so I could line up the apple logo with the cutout on the cover. All of this allowed me to line up the top, one side and the logo before finally peeling off the backing and applying the whole thing.Sounds harder than it is you will see how easy it can be when you watch the video.

Awesome product
Love husband skin! Just arrived and already slapped it on. As far as looks, it looks awesome. No complaints. It is a tad bit off but I’m not too concerned, more worried about scratches vs fitment.Installation, in my option was not bad. Literally took about 5 minutes and that was taking my time. I had a few bubbles but I decided to leave them since it’s not a huge deal to me. To make installation easier have a credit card wrapped in a thin cloth to smooth out the Vinyl as you go. That helps with the bubbles. Over all, it’s very nice and fitment is about 99%. Great product, great price, just take your time installing.

Good skin
I ordered this thinking it was more of a case, but it is just a skin. It looks great and i get a lot of compliments on it. It does protect from scratches but will do nothing if you drop it. The keyboard case is a nice addition as well. The only thing is that it does not match up perfectly with my laptop and a few screws on the bottom are covered up. The top part looks great but it does take a while to fit on perfectly. Overall, still a good product.

I'm gonna buy TWO!!
I really love this skin! It makes an already sharply designed product even more sharp. I'm thinking about buying another one (in case I can't find another in a few years) for after his one finally wears out. Only $16.00!?I will say the application may not be for everyone as it requires *a little* patience, care, and attention to detail in order to achieve the perfect placement. If you are looking for something to jump out of the box and apply it's self to your laptop, I would suggest purchasing a snap on style case. The logo is perfectly cut and the overall size of the skin is *just* smaller than that of the laptop it's self (leaving a slight gap that adds the iPhone 4 style "trim" effect.) Several poor reviews for the product with pictures showing nothing more installation error...

Don't do it.
Save your money! I read the reviews and the warnings but I said, hey for 16 bucks let me give it a try. The other reviewer are right. It's a Terrible product and does not line up at all. All cuts are just bad and the bottom piece did not even fit around the rubber feet. It looks terrible. I should of stuck with dbrand.
