A useful book for final year undergraduate students
This small book (p169) is a very useful introduction to process design and well within the price range of any final year chemical engineering undergraduate student.Particularly useful to the students, are the illustrations of the various items of equipment such as the various types of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, vessels, control valves, relief valves, etc. together with a good text description of their characteristics and function. The principle weakness is the lack information regarding the various types of process reactor, such as, fluid bed, adiabatic fixed bed, tubular fixed bed, moving bed, rotary kiln, etc.Despite this limitation I shall advise all of my final year students to buy this affordable book for Plant Design Project.

great overview
A wonderful overview of some basic design principles if one manages to push past quite possibly the worst grammer in a published work. I highly recommend this book to all chemical engineers who are starting careers as process engineers either at production plants or EPC firms as it helps to bridge the knowledge gap between academia and industry.
