My 4 year old grandson and I had such a good time playing and learning all about magnets. We explored our house using the magnets included. He especially liked seeing how fast he could make the car go using the magnets in different positions. I would highly recommend the kit.

Our 4 year old grandson is fascinated by science and really enjoyed this kit we gave him for Christmas.Insisted on opening it and getting going asap.While he needs a grownup to read the instructions etc. there is a lot of hands-on for him here with adult supervision.

A birthday gift

This is such a great product! My 5 yo daughter loves being a scientist - and this is very suitable for her. What’s great, is it comes with a book of experiments so that the materials can be used many times over. Perfect for those summer days when she is not in camp!!!

Granddaughter's Christmas gift. She loved it (5 year old.) Begged to keep doing more experiments. They were simple but well-explained so working with me or her mom was perfect. Slime not the best result. But the box was a good place to start. She loved the super ball.

7 year old grandson absolutely loved it. Some of the projects required some time to work which was good for teaching some patience, and the results were worth waiting for. He also loved the included safety glasses, and wouldn’t start any experiments without them. I was worried that if he needed safety glasses there might be a problem with toxicity but it all seemed pretty benign. No stains, no catastrophes.

This was a cute experiment for my daughter to do. Kept her occupied for about 30mins.

This is a great present for a 4 year old, she wanted to play with it immediately,so we set to work.I am not the 4 years old parent and neither were we in my own house, so liberties may have taken which would not be allowed, or could be easily prevented, in a more controlled, more responsible setup.The dye was used up completely within the first 30 minutes, as we found many things upon which we could experiment with it. I had assumed a simple wipe down with a damp cloth would be enough to remove any of the dye which ended up on things we weren't necessarily experimenting on directly. That was a bad assumption.Our hosts wooden kitchen table is now indelibly stained a beautiful rainbow of different colours, or generally blacks and muddy browns, they think a quick sanding and re-varnishing should be all they need to do to restore it to its original condition.Hands, you would think a good wash would be enough to remove the worst of the stains. No, no amount of washing with soap and water can even touch these dyes. Some industrial cleaners we had to hand did the job for me but were deemed too chemically for use on nieces delicate young hands. It had definitely faded almost totally through natural means when I next saw her 2 weeks later.So all in all, marvellous fun. Maybe don't let Uncles be in charge of running the experiments though.

Ordered as a gift. Came unwrapped with address label on the actual box the equipment comes in, obscuring the title and picture. Box is also not well-sealed. Very annoying: I can’t give this as a gift.

This is a great science kit for kids.We’ve done it today with my 7yo daughter and she loved it.You get pretty much everything you need in the kit, the only extras you need are white paper, clear glass, water and a white flower which is so much better than other kits that require baking powder, vinegar and other random items etc.There is a booklet with over 10 different experiments to do that have detailed step by steps and explanations for the results.There are great extras like a scientists notepad and name stickers. You get lots of the materials too so you can redo any experiments you like.We are really impressed with this science set and would highly recommend it.

This is a perfect gift for a scientifically-minded 6 year old. My daughter has really enjoyed making the crystals in a range of different colours, and watching them expand / shrink various times. It's the kind of kit that you can go back to a few times and is always interesting, which is quite rare for kids' science kits in my experience.

I bought this item for my granddaughter who is into science and all things related to science. She is 8 years old and I was not sure if it would be too much for her. I need not have worried as it is a great set with clear instructions. I would recommend this to anyone buying for children as it is a great introduction to carrying out experiments and recording the results.
