Just wet with some soapy water after you have completely cleaned your vehicle, and rub. I was amazed at the before and after results. I've spent years trying to get a smooth finish with waxes, rubbing compound and other cleaners. This one took off all the little bumps and blemishes for a truly slick and smooth surface. My only complaint is that now having done my third car, the black rubber pad on the first of 3 is starting to come off of the red backing holder. Might get one more usage out of it.
