These stamens do not disintegrate when cooked or added to fermenting vegetables. The flavor is excellent and robust requiring only a few threads but yet, subtle when added to rice water for cooking rice, making soup, stews and, ferments.

It lacked flavor. I buy various brand of Real Saffron from Persian stores and this product does not have the same taste and the color washes away.
