Ceylon Cinnamon comes from a plant called ‘Cinnamomum Zeylanicum blume’ which is indigenous to Sri Lanka. So, true to its name, Ceylon Cinnamon cannot originate from elsewhere in the world. True cinnamon grows naturally in the spice gardens of Ceylon from early 15th century. Carefully handpicked shaving of the evergreen cinnamon tree bark, are allowed to sun dry, curling into hand rolled layers fragrant quills.
