I have been one of Saddleback's very biggest fans, because I cannot stand the cheapness of leather products from anywhere else. Was very glad when some of their products became available on Amazon. Everything Saddleback is as beautiful and as durable as a fine horse saddle, though this thick-leather bag is much softer than a saddle. After a very long search, found this bag to be the perfect solution for my wife's lifestyle: It carries both her big OtterBox'ed iPhone Plys, and her Saddleback "Big Wallet," and room for a bit more; and, yet, this bag is not too large. Has both handle and shoulder- or cross-strap. This bag is a huge hit at our house. Cannot say enough. My wife does not have to engage in all the purse-maintenance activity that I suppose others do (constantly buying replacement purses). The Saddleback motto: "They'll fight over it when you're dead" is a common phrase in our house.

Received this bag in tobacco color. Love this bag. This is my second Saddleback purchase, and again a great product, plus 100 year guarantee.Attached are pictures of my bag with a 8" kindle and a 10" kindle. The 10" fits but is tight with the cover. The 8" can go in vertical if you want and clear the lid. As described by Saddleback, this bag is over 2 pounds. It is very well made but if you are expecting thin lightweight leather bag, this is not the bag. It is thick heavy leather that will last a lifetime.

It took a long time for me to take the dive on this bag. I wanted a MINIMALISTIC bag, and yes, that is what i got. I went back and forth between this one and the Laptop bag. I HATE the new design of the SB laptop bag but this one is so small. Ultimately I got this and have been using it for a week. Keep in mind this thing is small. I hold my 12" Macbook, charger, pens, and Moleskine journal and that's about it. The color was the traditional Saddleback leather Tobacco color. I love Saddleback and agree that this will last a lifetime! Truly pleased.

This is an exquisite bag. It is solid, handsome, and extremely well made. I will wear it as my everyday purse. I am in love. This is my second Saddleback purchase, so I knew to expect a great product, but it still put the hugest smile on my face as I took it out of the package. A gem.

I just received this item 7/18/17 and it sucks, plain & simple. The leather is full of barb wire scars and the tanning/color is totally uneven with some parts having a green hue to them (this is supposed to be tobacco color).Called the company and they assure me that all new bags are coming out this way (so forget any hope of a replacement). Saddleback calls this a new rough tan color (trust me it sucks).If you still interested, go for a dark color since it covers up the imperfections (I suspect the garbage leather is used mostly for tobacco).

Beautiful bag. I've been using it as a daily purse for about 2 months. Unfortunately, I've realized that it's just too heavy and bulky to use as a purse. The leather is so thick that it's just not practical. But it's a very nice bag, and I hope to figure out a way to use it once I replace it with something more purse-like.
