Nice product
Good sturdy material, Post-it note in photo for size reference. Works well if you want to avoid buying pig's feet. Also nice to buy this separately as opposed to the more costly package deals.

Works pretty well but it tears easily
This is a helpful item to practice suturing. It does tear so I guess it is handy for practicing on semi-friable tissue.

Nope. Buy something else.
I was looking forward to practicing suture skills on this pad, and brought home instruments from work (A driver, adson, and mayo). The concept of this pad is great, but here’s why it’s not good to practice on. When attempting to do a buried knot simple interrupted stitch, the silicone is not realistically as wide as an incision. So when bending it back with an adson (as you would pull skin up and back to get a good bite) the silicone just shreds. It is not flexible like tissue is. You’d have to use a ps-3 needle or something smaller to get in there and grab a bite - which is not realistic for practicing standard closing. Additionally, I attempted sewing with both vicryl and monocryl, and when tying a knot (albeit completely superficial and was just trying to salvage maybe some knot tying practice on this pad) the silicone again just tears when pulling the suture closed to knot. So it was ultimately useless and I’m kinda mad I bought 2 pads, thinking I’ll get to practice on them both. I’m returning both.

Suture practice pad
I had gotten this product to practice suturing techniques. It works well, and I like the different cuts on the practice pad, but the latex material tears with some of the sutures, especially with those that are more fine (ie 4-0 nylon). The silicone also has a slightly different feel than another practice pad I have used. Overall, it is giving me good practice with my suturing technique, but I do not think it will last as long as I had hoped.

Does not hold suture at all.
Material is not even remotely like tissue. The suture pulls right through. There also is only 3 layers to it. It is supposed to be 5. Pretty disappointed.

Does the job
Great for me to practice my suturing.

Cumple a grosso modo función

3.0 hält vom Faden her.

Resistente
Muy resistente, me sirvió muy bien.

it's ok, not great
it is great to start but it is quite sticky and collects dust which is then impossible to clean, and the sutures do tear out when trying to tie knots
