Powertron 72200 3.5 VOLT BATTERY FOR WELCH ALLYN 1375 MAH

The battery is the correct battery but there is a prominence that does not allow insertion into the charging cylinder. I tried to flatten it with pliers, and it still could not go into the chamber. It said it could go in either way so I forced it in and it stuck about 1/2 way and was basically destroyed in my attempt to remove it. I ordered another and it has the same flare, I am not expecting a refund on the one damaged but I am send ing both back.

This battery charged up and is powering my 25 year old Welch Allen unit and is holding the charge very well. I wasn't sure if my otoscope/opthalmoscope would still work since it's been sitting for over 20 years. I'm thrilled to find out and use it with a super low cost battery.

This items stats it is for Welch Allyn 1375, but it does not fit into a Welch Allen Otoscope. I have tried two of these batteries and neither fit. It is not a real Welch Allyn battery It is "like". Do not buy it and expect it to fit your Welch Allen Otoscope or ophthalmoscope. I had to pull it pot with piers.

Just got the battery and it came already charged. Tried it out and everything seemed fine without any noticeable problems.The new battery is to replaced an old one that wouldn't charge anymore.It's hard to beat this price. Potentially, I can buy 5 of these Powertron batteries for the price of one Welch Allyn!I suspect both Powertron and Welch Allyn could source the battery from the same manufacturer.*** Update 7/3/13. Used it a couple of days ago and the battery held charge without any problems. Happy with the purchase.

This replacement Ni Cad battery for Welch-Allyn oto/ opthomaloscopes handles appears to be as good as the original and costs only one-third the price. I have had it for about six weeks, and it has held its charge as well as the original. Whether it will last as long as the original battery remains to be seen. Sold by an Amazon affiliate, so there was a shipping charge. The battery arrived in about 4 days from purchase date. Overall, a good product for a reasonable price.

I let the battery charge for 24 hours but it never worked. I wasn't too surprised based on other reviews I had read. It was pretty cheap and the return was easy enough but it would have been nice if it worked.
