This flash is super portable, works great in studio and location. Cant complain about the battery life. Very easy and straightforward to use. For the price it is really worth it!

Pros: brightness and quality of light are top notch. I love that the controls are on the side instead of the back of the unit. I love that it’s battery powered, and rechargeable. It has a good modeling light. It also synced up with my Xt2 trigger immediately. I wanted something portable that I could shoot outside with on sunny days if need be. But it’s also my go-to light in the studio.Cons: it’s big and heavy. I’m used to either speed lights (Godox AD100), or my old studio lights (MS300s). The 300s are a little smaller and lighter, but require a power source. I would’ve been happier if this came with some sort of carrying case over the accessories in the box (some little color gels, a squeeze air cleaner thing, and a little “soft box” for flash heads). It also doesn’t come with a standard reflector, which I couldn’t believe. Even cheaper lights come with them. So even though I love this light, there have been times I’ve left him home just from size and weight and not wanting to carry the bulk.Overall I recommend it because it’s powerful, easy to use, has a Bowens mount (endless options for modifiers), portable and rechargeable. The bulb is replaceable if it burns out. It’s also several hundred dollars cheaper than the AD600 Pro.

I don’t think the battery life is that great but I could be wrong. It’s at home charging now after the first initial charging & me not using it.

Shame on Godox. I purchased this strobe only to find that it could not be used due to needing a firmware update that does not seem to work or be supported on any operating system. There G1 firmware software will not connect to this flash to give it the proper update so that it can connect to the X1-C trigger! Does Godox even know about this?!
