Very tasty espresso! The only issue is that it needs to be put in a grinder before using as it is not fine enough. Expensive but very good. Next time I will buy beans and grind from scratch.

I would have preferred a darker roast. This is not as dark as Starbucks Espresso roast. It does have a nice flavor and no bitterness or acidity. I wish they would roast it darker.

Makes a very good espresso. It is very strong but very flavorful. Much better than the Lavazza Gran Filtro I have been using for the last couple of years. This bean tastes like Starbucks but without the burnt and bitter aftertaste. I have been using it to make cappuccinos and as straight espresso. My machines are the Rancilio Silvia and the Rancilio Rocky grinder. I tried checking the pH, but the espresso may be discoloring my litmus paper. It may be around 6.2-6.4, but I cannot say for sure. However, it definitely does taste like it is low acid compared to others I have tried. A very good organic bean and very reasonable at around $10 a pound. Oh, and it is slightly oily as others have said but so far has not presented any problems for my grinder. I run about .5 to 1 cup quick cooking rice through it every 6 months or so and it seems to keep it squeeky clean.

The coffee is extremely fresh. The coffee itself and the quick shipping are all 5 star.I have one small criticism with the packaging which I would give 3 star or less.The beans are a bag made for 10 pound orders not 5 lbs.The beans are very loose in the bag. This bag was oddly expanded with air to press against the carton it came in - not vacuum packed. So a razor tool opening the box caused the whole bag to be sliced open and collapse so don't open a box this way.I bought a 5 pound bag of another brand too so I had something to compare it to.That other brand was in a properly sized and much stronger 5 pound bag.

Consistently right on for the best dark roast flavor

We searched for the perfect organic coffee and HERE IT IS!! After many purchases we landed on this wonderfully amazing coffee!! The flavor is rich and full, it will not disappoint!! We were using Starbucks Espresso before because of the flavor and decided that we wanted to find an organic coffee that was also low in acidity without compromising the flavor and this coffee did just that!! We have this on auto ship and have been using ever since, we are those people that are incredibly picky about our coffee so if this is perfect for us it will be perfect for you too!! enjoy and don't hesitate to try:)

I admit it, I am a coffee snob. Since moving to the US I really struggle to find decent coffee. Nothing in the stores is particularly good and I am not willing to settle for Kourig or Nespreso. So I tried various coffees from Amazon and I can say without a doubt this is the best I have found.It's gorgeous rich flavor is perfectly balanced with no after taste, it is how coffee should be! Perfect for a French Press.Before you complain about the cost, have a look at the size of these packets. Paying $6 for a small inferior coffee at your local supermarket is in fact more expensive than buying from the bean company. I am a loyal fan and will continue to purchase from you.

Found it mild but lacks much finish.

The beans kind of smell overpowering, almost burnt, but once ground and dripped it makes a very tasty espresso. Kind of earthy with an acidic finish. Love that its cheap, organic coffee :)
