My dentist said, “Flossing should be a scraping of the tooth until you hear it squeak.” Which POH does. That stuff that glides over the plaque, or potential plaque, does not. It’s just for dislodging things. Eew

This floss is great for tightly spaced teeth. It is thin but is strong.

I've been using POH floss for about 35 years, since my dentist in Atlanta recommended it to me. I have no idea if he did so because he had scientifically studied the efficacy of different kinds of floss, or if he just had some free samples from the POH salesman. In any case I liked it, and was able to buy it locally at smaller pharmacies. It's not available anywhere hereabouts (in the Detroit metropolitan area in Michigan), so whenever I run out of POH I look for it on the internet. The best price this time was from this supplier on Amazon, so I bought it. The package came promptly, and the contents were the same old floss that I've been using for decades.This floss is not waxed, and rarely frays (it does fray now and then). It gives my teeth a very clean feeling. I floss once a day, before I go to bed. If I forget to floss I can't sleep - I have to get back up and do it!

Purchased for a project my husband is doing and he is happy with its application.

It is not strong enough

I have very tight teeth due to wearing braces as a kid. It's almost impossible to find a floss that fits between them without shredding. But then I found Poh's! Not only does it fit between my teeth without breaking or shredding, but it also allows me to easily get under any plaque that is on tooth surfaces because it scrapes the tooth closely and easily. My dentist is impressed with my home care, and I told him I credit Poh's for the great success I have in keeping my teeth healthy.

If you prefer a "dental tape" type of floss, this probably isn't for you. This is more of a string type of floss that is thread-like. I have tight teeth and I found this difficult to use and not very comfortable. I have used other more mainstream brands of string floss before and found them okay, but I couldn't get this string floss through some of the contacts of my teeth and had to pull it through the side, even though it is thinner than those other brands I have used. I think it cleans well, but like another reviewer said, I prefer a larger contact edge for scraping teeth. I might try the "lite wax" version of this floss to see if that is better, but I probably wouldn't buy this unwaxed version again.
