How do you plan to use it?
Not sure this is getting fair reviews. How do you plan to use it? If a pull toy to play with your dog, then it holds up pretty well. We play, then I put the toy up until next time. If you you treat it like a chew toy and just give it to your dog to play with by himself, a few minutes is all it's going to last. My first one we were playing and I left him to answer the phone. A couple of minutes later when I returned my Malinois had destroyed it. The second one which he only got when we played tug, lasted for a few months. Hey it costs like 8 bucks. Do you expect it to outlive your dog?

Didn't last my dogs 2 hours.
Unfortunately my pups just loved this thing a little bit too much I guess. We absolutely love every chuck it ball we have ever bought. And so do our fur babies... I figured I could give this a try because they really enjoyed the chuck it tug rope ball. This one may have held up if it had a ball on the end to distract them from the fact that this Is a rope, which they love to tear up and eat. They destroyed this and was trying to eat it within 2 hours. After that, I can't risk them eating small pieces so it has to be thrown awa. So, I guess we will be sticking with the balls... that's the only tried and true way for longevity. Oh yeah, I have 3 Deaf Boston terriers.

Choose a different toy.
Lasted a couple of weeks. But honestly, it started unraveling within the first week. We have a 35lb Irish doodle puppy. Pretty disappointed as I chose to spend a little more on a Chuck It product thinking it would last a while :/

Maybe for a smaller dog
I love all the products from this company. But, This one is not as sturdy as I would’ve liked it to be. My great day and immediately figured out a way to pull the end out and chew on the rope. We still use it to tug a little. But know that it will soon pop out of the rubber holder.

Used as a reward.
My dog is a brute, its a boxer / pit mix and tug of war is one of his favorite games. After about a week or so of use the rope started to pull apart. Granted we play HARD. so im sure it will last longer for dogs that are less "aggressive" when it comes to chewing / chomping.

Disappointed
Not a fan as I was to previous Chuckit items I've boughtI bought this and a couple of other toys for my 2 Dobermans and they were both destroyed within 5 minutes of opening themWould tell anyone I met to definitely buy the Chuckit balls due to durability so I thought these would last as well....not even close

GREAT toy — IF you don’t have a puppy or an aggressive chewer.
Great tug-of-war toy. Gives my dogs a calmer way to play together indoors. Wrestling outdoors!!

Not for chewing
He tore up the first day, somewhat disappointing since your balls are super amazing

Save your money.
Within seven minutes of arrival she had chewed through the plastic and part of the rope. Choking hazard, threw it...in the bin.

Durato poco
Durato nemmeno 2 mesi, e non ho un Pitbull, ma un cucciolo di border collie.

Not durable enough
I realize it’s a play toy and you’re not supposed to allow the dog to just lay there and chew it, but this 3 month old pup managed to destroy in a couple hours when I wasn’t looking. Should be more durable.
