Nautica Traditional Collection's Men's Relaxed Fit Jean Pant

I bought some Nautica jeans about five years ago and have really enjoyed them. I decided to buy another pair a few weeks ago and was happy to see I could do this on Amazon. I just weighed the new ones against the old, however, and they've lightened the cloth by 1/7. Don't know why manufacturers can't leave good things alone, why they have to squeeze every penny out of the sale. Lands End used to be known for good products as well, but if you look at the comments page there, you'll find many from people who have bought their shirts over the decades, and just don't find them the same anymore. It looks like Nautica is going the same way.
