The Piercing Bible: The Definitive Guide to Safe Body Piercing Kindle Edition

Really enjoyed this book.As someone with many piercings (50+) over my life, and a few I've done myself, I wanted to hear a masters perspective. She is definitely a master piercer. She knows a lot about placement and jewelry selection, but her knowledge of medicine is a bit less--perhaps some assistance from a medical professional (maybe a wound care specialist) would be helpful here.I think her bits on nipples and genitals are obviously the best, since that's her specific specialty.An update, with another author who specializes in other parts of the body, would probably make this great book even better!

My book was delivered earlier and I have already read quite a bit of it. I will say it's worth the money. That being said this is not a training manual for new piercers. However it is every informative regarding procedures for sterile work practices, types of piercings,tools used, proper gauges for specific piercings, placements for various piercings, aftercare as well as some words of warning of things to avoid. This book can be a very useful tool for new piercers to guide them in the right direction.

I bought this so that I could start learning proper piercing technique to hopefully eventually pierce in my husband's tattoo shop. I was sort of wary about this book, but there was no reason to be. Ms. Angel knows her stuff, and her techniques are outlined very well, and she makes sure to put in warnings that sometimes you wouldn't think of. As a nurse, I appreciated that. If you want to learn to pierce, or you just want a new piercing yourself, I suggest reading this book.

Love all the extra info she threw in that was super helpful. My only complaint is that a few of the piercings listed in there, the part that says procedure it just explains what it is, not how to do it. So when I was asked for those ones, I had to turn people down because I didn't know what I had to do. Even tho, I'm apprenticing, I haven't gotten to a whole lotta stuff yet. So I was slightly frustrated that I couldn't even study up on those few things

I ordered this book from Amazon after hearing a great deal about it. I currently have 5, soon to be 6 piercings & 2 tats. I learned about this book after doing research on different types of piercings and it is amazing. She gives in depth descriptions on everything from simple ear piercings to the more exotic ones.Terrific info on what to expect before, during and after piercings, transdermals, implants, etc. The best way to care for your piercings to the best jewelry to select. This book has truly eased my nerves a bit and has taught me a few things as well. Even people who don't understand/get "the piercing thing" should read this. Highly recommended!

The Piercing Bible: The Definitive Guide to Safe Body Piercing is THE book to read if you're interested in Body Piercing in any way, shape, or form. Elayne's years of experience not only make her the foremost expert in the field of safe body piercing, but honestly the most qualified person to attempt a work like this. The book is complete, takes all facets of the art into consideration and if you had any questions at all -- they will be thoughtfully answered within the pages of her book. On a scale of 1 to 10 . . . It's a 10!

It’s like every google search regarding piercings in a book. Well written, and incredibly informative. The title in no was is deceiving. This has helped me immensely with my piercing knowledge and I always go back to it.

Definitely should only be sold to professionals in my opinion Again should only be sold to professionals in my opinion we have kids out here asking for piercing kids when we get phone calls at the shop like what in the world

So far I have enjoyed this book and found it extremely informative on the subject. A very descriptive book written with a great deal of knowledge and experience.
