It's as sweet as sugar without Sucralose, or Erythritrol, both of which have been dangerous to consume. As a diabetic that can't get beyond sweet foods, I am thrilled to have found out about what is known as "miracle sugar". Haven't used it long enough to know if I am affected by the possibility of GI issues, but will revise this if necessary.The only thing I am unhappy with is the super fine texture that doesn't approximate the "feel" of granulated sugar.

Its described as a possible sugar substitute in drinks such as coffee. It is much less sweet than both stevia and sugar. I decided not to use it in my morning coffee because it takes too much quantity to reach the sweetness I am used to. I watched a program that used trehalose to reduce browning in fruits such as apples, but it didn't seem to be able to do that. My next experiment will be to use the powder directly on the apples and see if it will reduce the oxidation.

Started using this as it has been linked to help my daughter's neurodegenerative disorder, and it has really helped. After reading about studies done with this type of "sugar" my husband and I have started using it too and found that we have more energy and feel better throughout the day than using regular sugar.

I read an article about this sugar replacement. One thing the article didn't point out a possibility of c diff as a possible side effect. I am immuno compromised, on immuno suppressants. I have to throw this in the garbage. $17 a waste for me. The description doesn't mention this either. Read everything you can before purchasing.

Disappointed this is manufactured from tapioca and not the bug shells like I had read about, lol! Sweetens just fine, but might as well use Stevia if it isn't gonna be the real deal.

Did what I wanted: cooked it with sushi rice and it maintained its freshness and gloss after 3 days, maybe longer, but I ate it!
