Easy Street Smiling Turtle Counted Cross-Stitch Kit

This was my first cross stitch project and it was great for a beginner, except for some colors I had extra thread and for some I did not have enough. It's not my technique either, I followed the instructions and checked with an expert and there were too few dark green and purple embroidery floss strands. Be prepared to back up what they give you with your own stash, or do what I did and finagle with the extra strands left over (medium green and lavender) to sort of make it work out. Other than that it's adorable.

I just received this kit and it doesn't have a floss organizer and missing two colors of floss ( blue and black ) and colors of flosses doesn't match at all to the colors on the picture. I could not find information how many strands of floss to use. It is very simple pattern and to have so many problems at the very beginning makes it very frustrating.

Great little kit for a beginner. Bright colors. Frame was really hard to put together with the fabric in it--took a lot of pounding & pressure. That said, the frame took it just fine & doesn't feel like it will ever come apart which is just fine.

Not enough of some colors.
