Looks & plays great!
The d-pad works well and feels great to use. The overall quality is top-notch! The response time of the d-pad and joystick feel amazing, just like the OEM joycons that came with the Switch OLED.I primarily play in handheld mode only, so this was the perfect joycon for me.Easily 5 out of 5

A great replacement for handheld users
To clear some things up:First of all, this joy con is HANDHELD ONLY. Please don't blame the seller when you didn't take the time to read. Second, I saw a few reviews criticizing the design, specifically the position of the analog stick and the d-pad. This is meant to mimic Nintendo's joy cons, it is their design model and not Hori's you should be aiming at.I bought this to replace my drifting left joy con.In terms of materials, I will say that you do get what you pay for, but I didn't mind what I got here. The shell is a lighter, see-through plastic, but it's not slippery. There's no battery in this, so it's very light, but I didn't notice when I was playing. I did feel the lack of HD rumble at first, but I got quickly accustomed to it (it tends to rumble enough throughout the whole console anyway). The capture and minus buttons are rubber instead of the standard hard plastic. I like the capture button better this way, I used to accidentally bump it far too often on the regular joy con. The minus button was already hard to press for me due to my small hands, this is no different, but having it be softer made it a lot easier to find and easier on the thumb when pressed compared to the hard plastic. The release button is raised rather high, and I'm not sure what the reason for this could have been. I wasn't bothered by it, but this might be inconvenient if you have a case without any wiggle room.Lastly, while I know this must drain more battery because it has to in order to function, I didn't really notice any extra drain. However, I expect very little of the Switch's battery life already and rarely play outside of the house, so I'm the least likely to be bothered by this.Does it drift? I play a good handful of intensive games 10+ hours a week, and it's held out longer than my original, more expensive joy con, so do with that information what you will.Overall, if you play mostly handheld/only play in TV mode with a pro controller, this is a great replacement, especially if you're trying to avoid the dreaded drift and don't want to spend $40 for the official replacement.

It works!
If you need a quick fix for the left joycon drift issue this will hold you over until you can get the actual joycon repaired or replaced. Overall its a great and affordable piece that allows your console to WORK until 2020 is over and we can actually find left joycons again!

Garbage!
I bought this controller thinking it was the same as the regular controller. It in fact is NOT! It feels so cheap, it don’t have the top buttons, and it barely works. If my son hadn’t thrown away the box I would have returned this!! I would NOT recommend buying!

Just a Pretty Face
Like the look but be aware no rumble, no player LED, no SYNC BUTTON, no sl/sr buttons, no accelerometer/gyro sensors and worse it only works connected to the switch device - no TV or tabletop mode functionality. (Per instructions). Yet, cost almost half as much as a set of joy cons with all these functions operable. Not sure it's pretty enough.

Great value
This joycon works great for me. I don’t usually use the wireless capabilities so the reduced price is a bonus for me. I just wish there was something similar for the right side.

Works perfectly, buttons feel great
Yeah, had it for a while now and it has been working perfectly. Not much else to say, but yeah...

Not Worth The Price
It feels cheap. Like I could crush the shell with my thumb and any other finger. The texture of the shell is not great either. The D-pad is fine. It works. But this is a hefty price to pay for a cheap... Half joycon. If you're looking at this, you're better off paying more for someone to customize an official Nintendo joycon, if you need a d-pad.
