DZ-400

After purchasing the Di Zhao alto flute I had to try a C flute. I chose the 400 mainly due to price, but what you get for the price is outstanding. My normal flute is a Prima Sankyo Artist (circa 1984) with a Drelinger headjoint, and I can say the first time I played this Di Zhao, I was wowed. If my flute is ever out of commission, I would have no reservations pulling this out to play any gig. The tone, intonation and dynamic contrasts are excellent. I would definitely recommend this to any of my private students. I have just also ordered a model 700 and I know that it will be as great as any of the other Di Zhao flutes I have purchased. I just purchased a Di Zhao 700. The flute center of NY helped me try out Haynes, Powell, Altus and other famous brands. They all sounded dull to me after playing the Di Zhao. And, it felt like the flute played itself. Start putting air across the embouchure hole and voila. this big sound comes out. Super impressive.
