Stetson Men's Weathered Leather 8/4 Cap

I'm a hat nut,....and I own two dozen of them. This is by far the best looking, best fitting 8/4 hat that I've ever bought.Knowing full well that ordering a hat based on a "size chart" is a shot in the dark at best,....I will say this: having had many custom-made felt fedoras built for me by a hat shop in Chicago, I can promise you that I am a 7 3/8" Long Oval.. That being said, the "Large" fits me perfect. You can go from there.The little Stetson tag on my hat was just "stapled" on, so it was easy to remove. The liner is light-weight cotton and the sweat-band is pretty comfortable.It lays a bit flatter than the photo shows, and I love it! I think I'll order a brown one as well.

This hat is soft and unstructured. I ordered a large based on my hat size in Stetson hats. It fits a range instead of a specific size. Or rather it doesn’t fit like it would if it were a specific size. My size was right in the middle of the range so the fit is ok. But not great. If my head were 1/8 larger it would be a perfect fit. I can live with. I am sensitive to smells but this hat had no odor problem that other reviewers mentioned. Ok. The stitching looks fine inside and out. I expect this to be worn many times over the next twenty years or so.

The quality of this item is okay. This is a Stetson Men’s hat. Which is an American Company. I thought that I would be buying a product made in America. Much to my surprise when I received the hat and found the label stated MADE IN CHINA. The first Stetson hat that I purchased that was not made in America.

I really wanted to like this hat. I have a Stetson fedora that I love. However, the 'weathered' leather just looked cheap like the leather couldn't hold up to normal wear and tear. It is just not how I like to dress. The fit was just a touch tight (I wear a 7 1/4 and purchased a Medium) but would probably wear in after a while. Construction was fine, as you would expect from Stetson.

What a great hat, Stetson never fails. I am a Euro size 59, roughly a US 7 3/8 and the "Large" was flexible enough to be comfortable and not too tight; in fact maybe a tad on the loose side but not enough to be a complaint. I got the weathered finish only because it was all that was available but now that I have it, I am OK with it. I particularly like the ability to pull it on deep or to wear it shallow, works both ways thanks to the telescoping back section.

Hat was exactly what I was looking for in style and comfort. Others were less expensive, and I almost pulled the trigger on two of those, because really I didn’t know what to expect and was willing to chance it with a $19-$25ea. and combined costs of $50+ in 2 hats. But in this case I bit the bullet and got what I paid for in one comfortable and stylish hat. And Bingo was his name-o!

This hat is my favorite by far. I wear a 7 1/4 ordered a large and the fit is perfect. This is my first stetson hat and it is perfect. Real leather too.

It’s OK. It doesn’t fit nearly as well as my old Stetson caps, which were “true to American vale’s”. Last Stetson I shall buy. American vale’s indeed.

Work / play - this baby survives it all and still looks good !

large hat bought by mistake but it suits me very well..no regrets about purchasing.
