Great spare remote works my system perfectly, every function, highly recommend if your original remote is letting you down.

Better than the original
I think my old remote was stolen by my ex (easier than stealing the whole unit) so after searching most of the known universe I gave up and plumped for this product. In short this remote is better than the original. Why? Well for a start it's a proper shaped remote and not the 'easy-lose-and-break' one supplier by Acoustic Solutions. Because of this it uses AAA batteries not the silly button ones. As the description says there's no programming or anything - it just works straight away. Okay so it's not branded, but in all honesty if you're tight enough to be still using this budget surround sound system then you're probably not bothered by this. If you need a replacement, buy this - it does the job.

Mostly doesn't work
Replace original remote. Standby, test, mute, listen, and mode buttons, optical, coaxial, aux, and bypass, none of these keys work on the remote, so that leaves, volume, and center, surround, woofer, bass, and treble keys that do Not such a great remote, the reviews were mixed, and I never understand how one person gets a remote that is all singing and dancing, and the next gets one that only partly works. Poor workmanship, and cheap parts maybe, wouldn't recommend.

It will only work the volume not standby.
We liked the product . We use it for our surround sound, called Acoustic Solutions, which is used for the TV.

DS533 Replacement
I was reluctant to buy this product initially. But I am happy now that I bought it. The performance is far beyond my expectation. It is working perfectly well. All the buttons. Much better than the original one that came with it

Apart from turning the volume up I cannot figure out all the other buttons. How do you turn the bass down and the speech up?

Perfect replacement
If you are having trouble with your current Acoustic Solutions DS533 remote then don't hesitate to buy this - it works a treat, it runs on 2x AAA batteries, it's the same size as a average remote (so you won't lose the damn thing too easily) and it has all the controls and options of the original remote.
