I'm picky about lighting, so take that into account in my review. First off, these retrofit lamps fit beautifully. They pack a serious kick for their size, and have worked well for the several months they've been in service. The color quality is acceptable (somewhere in the 80 CRI range), and the 3000K is a good color temperature that's less muddy than the lower 2700K of many retrofit lamps. While I doubt that the output is a full 1000lm, three of these lamps together do a good job of lighting my bathroom. One of the tricks that lamp manufacturers sometimes use to get more output from their lamps is to pulse the power at a higher level. That's the strategy that this lamp incorporates to get a lot of light out of their LEDs. But there's a trade-off they're making. These lamps are not continuous output sources, the way that an incandescent is continuous. The light is pulsed out at a high enough rate that it appears continuous, but fast moving object have a stroboscopic look to them. Most people may not notice this, but I do. It's not a "deal breaker", but some people may find it slightly annoying. It doesn't bother me enough to change them out, because they're still the best retrofit LED lamps that fit my bathroom light fixture. What I'll put up with in the bathroom isn't what I'd accept for my living room. Note that I'm NOT using a dimmer on these. Just a direct on/off wall switch.

I have tried several kinds of LED replacements for my halogen kitchen lamp. The others I have tried flickered occasionally and some died after only a few weeks of use. These bulbs work great, even with my dimmer (which is relatively new and specifically designed to be compatible with LEDs). The only minor draw back is that even with the dimmer all the way down, they don't get too dim, but that's fine with me. The bulbs are practically cool to the touch when running, which means they are efficient.

Not as bright as I would like, has a soft white light, glad to get rid of the high heat of a quartz bulb

Purchased a light that needed this type of bulb. Didnt want to go full halogen so I went with these. The price isn't bad and they look and function great. It's nice to have a second.

They are solid, simple to install and are the perfect brightness for our bathrooms. I think if you really wanted a super bright room you might go with a higher wattage (7 or 10 watts) but these are perfect. These bulbs operate at a much cooler temp than the regular bulbs, you can easily put your hand on them while they are operating compared to Halogen's which operate at over 500 degrees. Its amazing how much less heat they give off.

I'm on a mission to replace every incandescent, fluorescent, or halogen bulb in my house with LED. These are good replacements for the halogen tube bulbs in a floor lamp. They're a little larger than the original bulbs, but they fit fine into the fixture; however, check the specs on the product page to make sure they'll fit for your application. The bulbs are semi-dimmable, like most LEDs. They dim down to about 50% and then fade out. Any lower dimming setting leads to flickering. Overall I'm pleased with these bulbs.

Very easy to install not as bright as I would like but they will do and they seem to work so far And there are a lot cooler than the halogen bulb.Update, these bulbs started flashing after several days them go out, I would turn it off and on and it would start flashing again. If I leave it off for several hours it would work for a few hours then then fail again. I returned them and went back to the halogen bulb, it works fine and it can be dimmed

Works fine, Not sure if I got the wrong wattage, but the "dimmable" aspect has a fairly sudden change from bright to not so bright, and there only seem to be 2 settings. It also had a bit of a glow when the switch was off for the first week or so.
