Great Gift
I bought this for a friend aspart of a secret gift giving group and he loves it and it has inspired him in his own art. Highly recommend this book for anyone into Japanese art who also loves cats

Beautiful work from the acclaimed master of woodblock cuts with fine binding and dual language description of each print.
For the Harbormaster's 11 year old who absolutely loves the famed woodblock print artist Kuniyoshi Utagawa. The cats are depicted in playful acts, sometimes as the primary feature for the wood block, others as parts of another scene. Always in detail. Each print is depicted in Japanese with an informative English translation below. The Print is on one page and the description of the print is two paragraphs generally on the opposite page. For those interested in cats, wood block prints, Japanese culture, it's a hit. The little harbormistress is thrilled with it and insisted I write the review the following morning.

A fine collection of work but...
Really awesome visual reference. Sadly the cover flap came stained and bent, which is unfortunate since it was to be a gift...

Super bonito.
