Pitiful
This is probably one of the least useful books I held in my hands. I was sent this book accidentally from a bookstore. After reading a few random pages it shocked me that such empty worded books exist and are sold without shame. I think the book was written only for money. Real insult for all help seeking people.cheerfulness – according tomany studies, such as those conducted by Harvard’s Dan Gilbert – is largely apersonality trait that remains constant throughout life. Or, as social scientistsLykken and Tellegen starkly suggest, ‘trying to be happier is as futile as trying tobe taller.’ Thus, the swimmer’s body illusion is also a self-illusion. When theseoptimists write self-help books, the illusion can become treacherous. That’s whyit’s important to give a wide berth to tips and advice from self-help authors. Forbillions of people, these pieces of advice are unlikely to help. But because theunhappy don’t write self-help books about their failures, this fact remains hidden. - Rolf Dobelli

Life changing book
This book saved my sanity 10 years ago and I still read it’s headlines regularly. I had hypnotherapy to remove the crap that my subconscious had accumulated during my life (supposedly to protect me) and this book then gave me the way forward. It stopped me worrying and dwelling on things, it stalled my becoming down and depressed and it above all blessed me with a quiet and wise mind. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Many of my friends have also found it through me.
