don't buy this
I bought this filter because the Skuttle OEM was out of stock. It has been installed for about 6 months now and it is a terrible product. From day one the filter does not absorb water and our house has been as dry as it was before we even installed a whole house humidifier. Water just pours from the drain pan of the whole house humidifier whenever the heater is running from the very first day I installed this product.. I will not buy this aftermarket brand again, in the future I will wait until the skuttle brand is in stock.

This does NOT fit a Skuttle 2001 humidifier. This pad is about 4 inches shorter than the original. In the photo the new pad is still in plastic, while the original one is next to it. The only way this fits is if it grows when I add water. Plus, it is missing the little water filter pad that goes on top. Do not buy this for your Skuttle 2001. Spend the extra few bucks and buy the factory item.

First of all the length was short and did not Skuttle it was designed for and then after less than 3 weeks it warped.

Not a good fit and parts missing
The filter pad arrived a little bent since it comes in a plastic bag and not a box. It is about 3/4 inch shorter than the factory filter and nearly falls out after installation. It did not come with the wick filter as advertised and as the photos for the product illustrate. Just another example of poor design, craftsmanship and quality control.

Wrong size
Does not actually fit the Skuttle humidifier. It is about and inch short and that makes a big difference.

Was a little shorter than the measurments listed - which was a loose fit.
While this seamed just like my old pad - it was a little shorter which has made the fit loose. It was delivered in a padded envelope - no box. So I am not sure if it was compressed in shipping. The measurements listed on the product description were exactly the same as my old pad, this was just a 1/4 inch or so shorter.

Too Small for unit!
This was too small for unit even though the numbers matched. I've had it for a while before I knew that so I'm hoping they will refund my money.

Not the correct size in description!!
Suze description is wrong...this one is 9 3/4 x 10 3/4 (not 16 3/4) Don't waste your time if that is the size you need. I should have listened to the other reviewer.
