Really enjoyable ... for the whole family!
This entire series (the four main, the 3 smaller (Fever Crumb...) and the Anna Fang illustrated) were all really a fun read. And honestly a cut or two above so much of the sci-fi out there. My son (12) loved them and so my wife and I decided to try them so the family could all share in it and we both found that even though we're kinda snotty adults who generally read more 'lit-ish' fiction, we loved these. Quick-paced, fun flawed characters and inventive futuristic look at our world.

Great underrated set.
Love the fact that the prequels come with the original 4 books. Decided to jump into the series before watching the movie and I'm loving it so far.

Purchased as gift
I purchased this for my 12 year old nephew for a birthday gift because I knew he had recently watched the Mortal Engines movie(not sure if there is more than one) and he really enjoyed it and he is also an avid reader. He was happy to receive these and has been reading them. He says they are really good.

Super Happy With My Purchase
My only complaint about this is that the book set came in a much larger box than it needed to. Also, they wasn't packaged super snug, which, as a result, it's contents were banged up only slightly. Also, when I received the box, it was opened slightly. Apart from that though, this was DEFINITELY a great purchase. I loved the new Mortal Engines film, so I was super excited to find these books in a full set. I kept just seeing box sets with seven books, so I was glad that I found that this set included one of Reeve's latest books to the Mortal Engines collection, Night Flights. I've only just started reading the first book and I'm already LOVING it! The only thing I suggest is, if you aren't super familiar with the Mortal Engines world, buying the new Illustraited World Of Mortal Engines book. I think it would help clear some things up.

Very nice set
Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband and this is a great set for the price. Very nice that it comes with a protective cover as well.

Nice for the Price
When you realize the package 'deal' you get for the price, all 8 books in store-bought condition, it's a good deal.I can't 5 star it because as a 'collectors' package it falls short. There is no new art, no extras. The box holding the books has only cover art from the books, even the (bonus?) bookmark has pictures of the books on it.Considering the possible merchandising of this series along with the movie, it's amazing how plain this packaging is.

Just buy it. It's that good. Don't let the YA or Scholastic throw you off. Good enough for us adults
The movie was a decent watch but this series is so much better. My reading order was the prequels, then the main story arc. The world building is top notch. Not going into detail as I want people who haven't read it to just get into it afresh.

Good read.
Read these all within a week. Having only found out about them after the movie. the books were simplistically written and very quick to read. the story is fantastic and made me wish for a life upon a dirigible floating where ever my fancy took me.
