Kat's Last Chance: The Evans Family, Book Four Paperback – October 25, 2012

I enjoyed this book so much that if I could give it 10 stars I would. It is the story of Kat and Ian. I loved those two characters in the book. But all of the characters in the book were well fleshed out and just as an important part of the book as the main characters. When you read this book you have to fasten your seatbelts because this book is a roller coaster of emotions and plot. I started reading and got to a point that I couldn't put it down and even when I had to put it down thoughts of Kat and Ian were in my head. Kat and her sister went through so much abuse at the hand of their father. The person though I disliked the most was their Mother who at times seemed oblivious at times and did nothing to protect her daughters. The book was so well written. This is proof that a book doesn't need to have a lot of cursing and graphic sex in it to be very good. It is about the story. And, the author handled the romance part so well that any adult should be able with their imagination to get the idea of what was going on and the feelings that Kat and Ian had for one another. I look forward to reading more of this author's books. An excellent book!

The author has a way of drawing you in as a character in the story. An intense and captivating novel. Loved it!

A special story to close this wonderful series . Heartbreaking to know people can be so abusive but once again good triumphed over evil through a family who cared enough to get involved and a young woman determined to stand up . Their love gave her the strength to see herself as a victor. Thanks for this super series. Human trafficking and drug peddling get a good blow , sickening how humans can destroy others so easily. So grateful to all those who choose to work long hours to attempt to expose such wickedness.

Collette Scott has done it yet again! Such an incredible novel. It's probably the darkest one in the series so far--you'll see why as you read it. Kat is mentioned a few times in the previous books in the series and I didn't think I would like her. But as the novel progressed, I grew to love and sympathise and root for her. And Ian of course--a strong, wonderfully written character.I'm just so impressed with Scott's ability to create such a dynamic relationship between them. There is so much history and emotion. And she doesn't make Kat a victim--that's what I loved the most. She took a pretty difficult and often cliched storyline and played it off brilliantly. Fantastic novel so continue a fantastic series. Buy it--you won't regret it!

A daunting story of a lifetime of betrayal and abuse. Kat and Ian loved each other, however to protect him she broke his heart and left him and endured her father's abuse until she trusted Ian enough to help her.

I really enjoyed this book as well. Thank you for not using the gd word in this book like you did in the last one. You're a very talented writer and I don't see why you feel you need to use that word at all.

A really good read. Kat's dad wants her to marry Curtis. Ian Evans and Kat used to be together. This story continues the bad gang, through from the second, and third book.

Another great story in this lovely series, like the way characters from the other books appear this book. Hope there are going to be more books.
