Hummer H3 (Launch book) Hardcover – October 1, 2005

I just recently bought a Hummer H3 (that I love), and wanted to know more about it ... therefore I *wanted* to like this book. But it was so boring to read, that I finally started just 'skimming' through it. I was more interested in the technical design aspects that make the H3 unique ... but you have to wade through paragraphs and paragraphs of boring text about the car manufacturer(s) politics/etc to uncover the sparse mentions of technical details. I'm a computer guy, so I prefer diagrams and lists, rather than reading paragraphs.

The book has a lot of interesting information and facts. Explains history from the the H1 to the making of the H3. Very cool book.

Well written and well illustrated, I enjoyed this book which is a brief history on the Hummer brand and a pretty in depth look at specifically the H3 Model which I have and love! Kind of sad reading about the hope the team at Hummer had for the brand and really how unique it was and is and that it was sacrificed by the GM bureaucracy. Good thing they kept things like Buick and two types of identical trucks (GMC and Chevrolet).If you have and love an H3, get a copy of this book. A good read and shows you how special your little SUV really is...

First of all, I own an H3. I use it for off-road use and it snows up here in the mountains where I live and it comes in handy. I had no idea about what the thought process was in creating this vehicle. There were a few questions I had and this book pretty much cleared them up. I would recommend this book to all H3 owners and to those interested in what it takes and what goes into production of a vehicle. As far as I'm concerned, the H3 functions as indended. Are there things that could be better? sure, but most of those are addressed in this book. The book is well written and has great pictures. Lots of drawings and prototypes. Very well put together. The author did an outstanding job.

I bought the Hummer H3 book to learn everything about it. I was surprised that it covered all of the Hummers. It was very informative about the things I wanted to know.

Purchased this book solely on the fact that i own a Hummer H3! lolFriends are always intrigued when they see this book in the car, but after flipping through the illustrations and skimming through the paragraphs.. this book is well written and gives me insight on how the H3 was thought out, designed.. many illustrations on scrapped designs and concepts.. very VERY good book.. Especially for people like me who like books with pictures!!!!

This book is great. If you have a H3 and love it, you need to read this book.You will learn things about your H3 that make you just sit in it and go....OOOHHH yea there that is...It opens a whole new view on how a new auto is made.....You won't be sorry....

Fantastic book, very detailed, about the mighty Hummer H3, unfortunately also the last of its dinasty. Also noteworthy is the fact that the volume is not only packed with good and reliable information from the genesis all the way up to the early production of the truck, but also full of beautiful pictures, taken directly from GM's archives. Overall, this is probably the best piece of automotive literature on the H3, therefore I would definitely recommend it, this one's a keeper.

Amazing book! If you own an H3 you need to have this book. It will make you appreciate the engineering that went into the vehicle you own. Will be a great book to keep as a collectors item.
