I have never returned a book to Amazon until now. I found all the projects to be very simplistic. Lots of simple pillows. The wall hanging projects looked like they were out of the 70's, a decade not known for it's home decor innovations. The bench and stool projects were basically: get a piece of wood and screw in some store bought legs. I was so looking forward to this book, as it is touted in the reviews as being such a great resource. I understand that style is in the eye of the beholder and that my opinion reflects my sense of style. This book may be wonderful for many people. The photos are beautiful. The instructions and text are very clear. I would rather spend my money on fabric than this book that would have sat on my bookshelf unopened.

This is not your regular diy crafting book. This is refined and it’s a keeper, because I promise you, the information in this book will last you a lifetime. From creating paintings, macrame, woodworking, leather work, so many other categories of beautiful art that you can make yourself just by using this jewel of a guide, you will create pieces that will last long and that can be personal. This book will help you create the home of your dreams!

I'm loving this book! The detailed instructions are great!! I really appreciate the wonderfully refreshing ideas that the author shares and that they are not the typically boring DIY ideas found in other books with the "same o same o" ideas, filled with fluff and pretty pictures. When I buy a book with pretty pictures and decorating ideas then that's what I expect to get, but when I buy a book of how tos and DIY then that's what I expect and to actually be able to follow the instructions. So, well done and kudos to this author for bringing us a book with lots of new and creative ideas to create for our homes, with easy to follow instructions that I can actually do myself and I am inspired to do!!

This book is visually very pretty and the projects within are very cool. However, this is for a more advanced DIY'er and not for beginners. The directions need to be followed rather meticulously in order for the projects to be successful. It has some really cool ideas though.

some pix a little plain, maybe shaker=ish styling and i was just happy to give away the shaker dresser that had come my way with a house purchase. best for the basket lover among you. actually, i love baskets, but i love a lot of color around them.

Beautiful book with well written projects and attractive photos. Great for DIYers and crafters who want to replicate the projects or just use them as a jumping off point for creative endeavors.

My partner and I received this book yesterday and were flipping through it for apartment ideas. I'm excited to update our tired Target-purchased pillows. My partner is excited to build the reclaimed wood bench--it will be a welcome replacement for our current TV-stand. I will update once we've done a few of the projects!

I just purchased this book and absolutely love it. I seriously want to make everything in it. Every project tells you how to make it in great detail and where to purchase everything you need for amazing prices. I highly highly recommend this book and can't wait for Janet to publish more books so I can buy them :)

I’m so glad I got this book! It’s beautifully made and it’s pretty thick. I received it yesterday and I’m already in love! I’ll be leaving it on my coffee table so my guests can skim through its wonderful pages.
