Excellent wire for esc leads on high preformance race quadcopters.
This is perfect race quad esc wire.. it stays flexible so long as you don't let solder run down under insulation.. it carries current very well and doesn't get warm even when pulling 50 amp to each esc burst current on high KV 5 and 6s build... on 4s builds honestly 18awg is fine imho.. on 5s and 6s 1600 to 1800kv builds 18 will work to (16 is better and doesn't lead to bottle necking your power system) 16awg is a must if your running 2300 to 2600kv motors on 5 and 6s as the high KV and high voltage will cause extreme current draw... on my 2600kv F40 Pro V2s (they handle 6s fine, so long as you keep prop weight and pitch in mind.. stay with a 4 or 4.3 pitch prop MAX on 6s... 5s safe to 4.5 pitch props) 6s will pull over 50 amps burst on 6s 95c 1550 R-lines but the battery can only sustain that for a second or so then sag and prop unloading will start to pull current down. This is not a race setup this is speed run setups and working the power system very hard for quick bursts of power and only 2 to 3 quick runs on a charge not to mention it kills batteries like no tomorrow... I have started going to 1800s to make batteries last more then 20 cycles before IR starts to rise quickly and pack doesn't have punch anymore high C rating 1800s will last in the 80 cycle range and top end preformance will suffer none due to the batteries being able to fight sag much better then 1300 or 1500s.. point of all this is if you are running stupid high wattage power systems that pull tons of current at high voltage this 16awg wire is up for the task.. it's very high quality wire that holds up to those harsh attacks of current draw and don't get warm cheap wire will get down right hot because it carries a lot of resistance and this wire does not.. in fact on super light race builds I use the 16awg as main lead wire to save weight and it serves just fine so long as it's a short run of wire, on my 5 and 6s high KV builds I run 12awg because 14 or smaller will melt solder joints because it can't carry current that quickly.. on 180 to 200 gram dry weight builds with 2204s or 2205s for small tight tracks i always run 16awg wire and the power leads don't even get warm after a race so this wire will stand up to 40 to 50amp constant and 70 to 80 amp bursts on a 3 inch run of wire easily being it's not even getting warm it could handle more.. that's a good way to tell if your wire is bottle necking your power system, if the wires are mildly warm then you could prolly get a little better preformance from going one size bigger wire... If it's down right hot then you need to go two sizes bigger... If your melting solder connections... well then your need much thicker wire lol and learn to not build super thick solder joints as that is a place of increased resistance.

Good wire
Good wire but the issue I have with this twin wire is when I peel the red and black wires apart it will occasionally tear into one of the wires exposing bare wire.

Good wire
Only negatives that you might not care for is that it’s too soft and flexible for Anderson connectors and the colors bled across so the black is half red. But seems good for the price.
