For years I worked on the F......Tight principal with normal screwdrivers and I've never had any problems with terminals over heating, causing fires. As time, and BS7671, has moved on I've had to adapt to changes so bought a full set of VDE Armeg torques. Lovely set that ranges from 1-6nm.Recently I purchased the Wiha set, (0.80-5nm) and this is my favourite simply because it fits well in my tool bag. Tha Armeg set is well cased but there's no carrying handle and that drove me nuts. The Wiha pouch is fantastic and allows me to have a torque set in my day to day bag over my shoulder rather than have to carry a very clumsy moulded box set. The Armeg is nice in it's torque setting as you simply adjust it from the top. The Wiha requires you to set it from the bottom where you place your driver so on a consumer unit you'd have to remove your Wiha driver from its handle, adjust torque setting. No big deal as often you'll have to change your driver type, size anyway depending on the torque setting and RCBO terminals e.g. Surge Protection.All in all I'd favour the Wiha set for its portability. Both Armeg and Wiha sets are well built, excellent quality. Personally I love the look of the Wiha set and so far can't fault it. Both sets come with a calibration certificate.

Simple to use - once you read the manual! Torque settings adjustment range is big - more than what you need for any commercial/domestic installation.

I’m not sure if all torque drivers are like this:The setting of the torque is set by using like a Allan key driver (the black handle uninsulated one) to turn an internal mechanism then reinsert the driver attachment fiddley when doing a consumer unit the RCBO as the busbar is one setting and cable terminals are another, I expected it was done on the handle.Secondly the driver attachments are not the same size as say your cordless driver bits so you are buying into a unique system so carful not to loose them driver bits

I’ve been in the electrical trade for 30+ years and never found the need for a torque screwdriver but thought I would treat myself and it’s good to know things are as assembled as per manufacturers specifications. The Wiha looked a good quality driver set and plus it had one of the highest torque settings available, up to 5 newton metres.On receiving the tool you can see it’s well built, usual German craftsmanship and the pouch is very nice too. The things that didn’t impress me were, it’s a heavy driver…not that you would use it all day long. I didn’t like the fact that you have to assemble three sections after taking it out of the pouch and setting of the torque adjustment is by using the setting tool, all time consuming and finally the torque number in the little window is very hard to read and would be even harder if the tool was dusty.When you’re spending this much on an occasional use hand tool you need it to be right, so unfortunately it went back. In the end I went for the Draper Ergo, it may not be to the same level of build quality but you can set the torque whilst the tool is assembled and there is only two sections to put together.

Précis et facile à utiliser. Je l'utilise pour un tendeur de courroie de vélo qui doit être serré à 0,25 N.Le tournevis livré avec sert uniquement à régler le couple et n'est pas un outil "en cadeau".Il s'agit de matériel de haute qualité.

Ein sehr hochwertiges Werkzeugset um LS, RCD und Co. mit dem vorgegebenen Drehmoment anzuziehen.Ja es kostet etwas, ist aber jeden Cent wert. Qualität hat ihre Preis. Wenn man nur gelegentlich einige Verteiler beschaltet genau das Richtige.
