Excellent Banner Material
I can't speak to how well this material works for kites and the like, but it makes wonderful banner material, which is what I purchased it for. It's very easy to cut it to the desired size with a rotary cutter, stitch it with a sewing machine, and paint on it with acrylic paint. The paint dries nicely on the surface and does not bleed through to the back, and the material is flexible enough so that the paint on the surface folds with the fabric and does not crack or peel off. I stitched the cut edges with a zigzag stitch to prevent minor raveling of the material; you don't need to do more than that, which is nice. I also stitched small round circles on the corners, cut out the inside of the circles, and used it with a rope to tie it up. It is lightweight, and the next banners I make will have a dowel rod sleeve on the top to keep the banner fairly straight while it's hanging inside of a pop-up canopy. If you're looking for a good material that will easily accept acrylic paint to use for homemade banners, this is an excellent solution.

I was disappointed that the 6 colors I ordered are not the 6 colors shown (I got black and white in place of purple and green). If you click on additional photos, it is very clearly shown the 6 color pack will include black and white (I didn't think to do that). I think it is misleading to show the main picture of 6 colors not being the 6 colors you will receive when you order a 6-pack. This fabric is definitely more crinkly than what is sold in Joanns. Not sure how well it will work for my zip bag linings.

Doesn't ravel, is crinkly loud.
I bought this to line a set of bikepacking bags whose original water proofing had degraded. Waterproofing isn't really a key factor with these bags anymore, but I am sure the ripstop will be sufficient to keep light rain or splashes off the contents. The bright color will also make it easier to see what's down at the bottom of the big bags. I also have enough extra yardage I might decide to make a few extra frame bags in custom shapes for our tandem if I feel like sewing at some point. I did a fray test on a cut strip of the fabric last night, trying to get a thread to separate, and it really took an effort even to get one thread loose.

Unofficial semi medical use...PT. transfer help!
Ok.. mom had a non invasive spinal fracture, good news... no paralysis. Bad news... back is put together again with rods screws and hardware...Fortunately, mom has had an adjustable bed ala hospital bed... bad news... she could not wiggle or scooch up into it like she used to...Enter this fabric... mom sits on edge of bed... lays back and I can firmly maintain spinal alignment and lift her feet and turn them.. Her behind serves as the pivot point, and I am able to help her get into the bed with no twisting -- just sliding her across the top.. good atuff...Allowed us not to hire a live in aide or use a nursing home/rehab hospital... which in covid days is quite literally a life saver.

Not for my project
This is very light duty ripstop. I made bicycle handle bar covers to protect our e-bike digital displays when hauling them on the auto bike rack. The cover shredded. The velcro snagged the cover and it deteriorated . I had sewn 1/4” seam. In hindsight a french seam would have provided greater stability. Reinforced seams and greater seam allowances and no velcro might have prevented this; as would using a heavy duty ripstop

schlechte Qualität!
die Bestellung ging zurück. Der Stoff ist nicht gut, die Qualität miserabel. Der brillante Glanz ist eher matt, die Qualität dünner als erwartet & sehr steif - viel zu hartes Material .
