Armor Insole

I received two very thin panels that fit right in with the Kevlar. I didn't have to cut either though the front one is just slightly scrunched at the zipper. I have worn these for a little over a month. I was washing my inner and outer carrier twice a week but find there is no odor (verified by family members) after wearing my vest in an outer carrier for three days in a row. I have cut down to washing my carrier once a week due to getting it dirty. I work in the daytime and have a salt line on my t-shirt at the waistline at the end of every day. I am pretty impressed with these things. I would/will buy them again if they wear out or stop working.<EDIT>After four years of wearing the Armor Insole I can't say enough positive things to describe my appreciation for this miracle product. I wore an outer vest working 3x12 hour shifts for the first couple years and 4x10 hour shifts wearing my armor under my duty shirt for the last two years. The Armor Insole seems to function as well now as when I purchased it. I am due for an armor replacement (coming any day now) so I purchased a new Armor Insole for the new armor. I have not used the new set yet. I wash my vest carrier once a week and let the Armor Insole air out for a day or two while my vest is apart. I have never added any chemicals or deodorizers to the Armor Insole. I have worn my vest four days in a row this week. I hang it in the closet when at home. I just told my 11 year old granddaughter my vest was clean and asked her to smell the inside of it. She reported there was no odor at all, and we all know how brutally honest an 11 year old is. I don't know how these things work, but it must be some kind of magic. When working 10-14 hour shifts, the last thing I want to do is use my time off taking apart my vest to wash it daily. I would like to send out a BIG thank you to the developers/inventors of this product. By my calculations, you have added 3 hours x 52 weeks x 4 years of quality time to my life so far. Where do I go to buy stock in Armor Insole?

I'm in Florida and working out is in a vest all day makes my cover smelly very fast. It cut to fit perfectly inside and cut down on the odor for a while. It isn't a permanent solution though and you'll need to replace these to keep getting results.

As a LEO, l love putting on my uniform; weather it’s my Class A Uniform or my Tactical Outfit. However, my duty issue Under-carry Vest is like a sauna, especially during the summer months. And then there’s that unpleasant odor from my vest when I take it off. The odor even crosses over to my undershirt and sometimes to my uniform shirt. There had to be something I can purchase to add to my vest so I can wear it without that unpleasant odor. I searched Amazon looking for a remedy and I found a product called “Armor Insole”. After reading it’s product description and consumer ratings, I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did. After installing the Armor Insole to my vest and wearing my vest on duty, when my shift ended, I took off my vest...no odor!! The Armor Insole did what the manufacturer stated; odor eliminator. I purchased a second one for my personal Under-carry vest and the Insole provides odor protection. I recently purchased two more Armor Insoles for my second personal Under-carry vest and my first Outer-carry vest. I personally recommend this to all LEO for their ballistic vests.

Very small, it seems to be designed for either the Asian market or younger airsofters. Thus I would not recommend them for western males. Though they should be fine for a female market. No cutting was needed for them to fit into my Kevlar vest with tons of room to spare. Overall they are OK, but should be half the cost as they are not well designed, or fully operational unless you're short and thin. I would not purchase this product again.Hopefully they will still function, I'll update any future details if they end up working better or worse from this initial review.

These insoles are amazing! If you wear body armor I strongly suggest you get yourself a pair of these. Plain and simple, they work. No matter what I've tried in the past, I just couldn't get the odor out of my vest. I wash the carrier weekly. I spray the ballistic panels with Febreeze or Lysol. Air everything out but a faint odor always remains and the next time I wear the vest the odor returns. I just went through the cleaning routine again but this time I slipped these insoles in between the ballistic panel and the carrier. I'm just now finishing my first twelve hour shift using these and I've got to say WOW! These insoles removed all the odor from my vest and kept it from coming back. I don't know how long this set will last but when they wear out, I'll be buying another set! Don't waste your money buying any expensive bio-spray type deodorizer. Just get these. You'll be glad you did.

I love that this thing is sizable with some scissors or a knife. It should fit everything from old IBA/flak, Improved Outer Tactical Vest, to basic plate carriers - a really large sheet of insole that's compatible with a variety of military, security, police and other agency standard issues. I think the width is great and provides a great drying capability. I generally wear plate carriers rather than full armor. For extra security of the insole under my kit I use a couple snaps of tape. What a bargain for this thing! I am going to try it on my training weight vests too. If you want something for that gym vest that sits in the corner at work, this would be another great application. Keeping your body armor tolerable is of course the main priority and this bit of kit really does the job. The benefits to sanitation in the field should be enough incentive to buy 3, but the price helps too. Really nice work.
