great gluten free dairy free option to make lots of yummy food!
We LOVE the new gluten free Bisquick! I used to for cheddar biscuits mostly until we found out that we had a milk protein intolerance. Now, we are using this to make so many more recipes because it is dairy free and from what I can tell allergen free. The only thing I would like better (General Mills-if you are listening-I know I am not the only one that wants this) is if it came in bulk packaging. Just put the GF Bisquick in a larger box like the regular Bisquick and then sell in a 3 or 6 pack. Just mark that this review was helpful if you agree and maybe GM will listen! LOVE THIS-ORDER NOW!!

One of the Greatest Gluten Free Products I've Found
This is one of the most versatile mixes I've found, and most recipes come out tasting very much like the Full of Gluten Blends. I, like many, am struggling with celiac's disease, and I've only just found out I have it, so I'm not quite sure what to buy, what's healthy, and what doesn't taste like cardboard.Gluten Free is a way of life you have to adjust to in almost every way, from giving up many favorites, to training your pallet to love these new found grains.Bisquick is Rice based, and is very much like it's original version, however be aware that the pancakes will be a little less fluffy and that you should follow the recipe to the T when it comes to these. Betty Crocker has a Recipe website they've published for you using this product that has quite a few tasty treats you'll love. When it calls for Vegetable Shortening, be sure to use it, for example, biscuits made without shortening, and only butter will be very dry and not very satisfying, even difficult to swallow. Use recipes that include shortening, and will result in moist, fluffy foods and breads will help you end up with an enjoyable addition to your meal.Fun and Tasty Gluten Free Recipes for this mix can be found on the Betty Crocker website, they won't allow me to post the link here, sorry.UPDATE: ** Fun Tip about this and other Gluten Free Mixes, My mom Figured out that when you're mixing together your ingredients and you're using one that calls for milk, that if you mix together ONLY the BASE MIX and the MILK and let it set for about 15 minutes before continuing with your recipe and adding other ingredients, the end result is much fluffier and tastier ** This would be much like making tapioca pudding, you have to let the milk and tapioca soak to 'activate the tapioca' before moving on, so I think that type of reaction is what's happening here with the Bisquick Mix. YAY for Mom!Hope that helps you with your purchasing decision. Thanks for reading!

Don't shy away from the word Gluten. This mix is awesome!
This mix is fantastic. I love pancakes -- could eat them three times a day. But traditional mixes and recipes (using regular flour) make 'heavy' pancakes. For me (now that I am older '55') I just could not eat pancakes anymore -- would bloat me up and take a long time to digest. When I saw this in the local store -- and I had been hearing about the Gluten debate -- I decided to try it. Glad I did, because now I can eat pancakes again! These come out very light; they don't bloat me up and I can digest them easily -- and they do hold me until lunch. The local store (Wal-Mart) stopped stocking it -- of course. So checking Amazon I realized that buying the 3 box unit costs the same (per box) as what I was paying at the local store -- and this is the prime price. I always bought two boxes at a time, so this is great for me. I always make pancakes for the whole week and keep them in the icebox; then use the microwave to warm them, as I want them. They hold up great in the fridge and they warm up great in the microwave -- they come out just as they were when fresh made. Thank you Amazon.

Wow!
Holy Bisquick!!! This product is fantastic! My daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac and our whole family is now GF. We've tried a couple of other pancake mixes (not brave enough to try making our own mix yet) and they were fine but noticeably different than regular gluten-containing pancakes. BUT BISQUICK - wow!! So good and no noticeable taste/texture difference at all. We used butter for the oil and I found that the batter produced even fluffier pancakes after it sat for about ten minutes. I let it sit for five before making the first round of pancakes and gave it a stir then it sat for another five before the second round. Second round was perfectly fluffy! I have four kids and they all raved. Try this mix!

Gluten-free Bisquick ~ Pancake Mix
When I first found Bisquick Gluten-Free it was at my local store and it was quite expensive. I bought 1 box for a trial. As it carries a warning that made me need to proceed with caution. *may contain soy.* As I am both gluten and soy allergic. So with benadryl close at hand I made the pancake recipe. Never before was I a big fan of panakes, so my expectations weren't very high. Gluten-free Bisquick preformed better than I expected. First happily there was no allergy reaction for me. Secondly for the first time in my life I enjoyed my pancake experince . Before I had always felt sort of *unwell* after pancakes but, not to the point of suspecting an allergy. I find their pancakes to be tender light and fluffy. My grandmother who isn't allergic to gluten actually prefers the gluten-free pancakes to the original Bisquick mix . In her opinion the original has a tendency to be more dense and tasting very salty. We would both highly recommend this product to others.
