Not one person was interesting
Once a year the DREAM BOAT sets sail for a cruise exclusively for gay men. we follow five men from Poland, Palestine, India, France and Australia on a quest to live an authentic life. The cruise promises seven days of fun. All i saw in this Documentary ( I thought it was a movie but.....) all i saw was a group of guys who are alone due to their own designs and drinking a lot too. I did not spark to any of these people and feel nothing for any of them, none of them were engaging at all. If i can't feel anything for the docs principle men then this means nothing to me. They show these guys to be shallow and vapid. Not what i am looking for at all. .

The gay lifestyle and all that comes with it
This is not what I thought it would be, well it is but that's not what the story is about . On this cruse they interview men about their lives I would not go on a gay cruse, for me it is a place where you hook up for a lot of anonymous sex, To me at least you have two types of gay men, one's who in brace the gay lifestyle and it becomes their lives. And people like me. I am a man who is gay not a gay man It is such a small part of my life compared to the rest.

Beautiful film-Need more in depth with the individuals
I'm a person with a disability and gay in America. People with disability are completely shunned and invisible in America. I never go out, I would never go on a cruise. My level of confidence is so low, I would be totally demoralized. That is why I found Phillipe amazing and brave. Beautiful cinematography, but wanted to know more about each person.

Sad, poignant, and for some possibly life affirming.
Gay cruises have mixed reputations depending on who you ask. This is a well-produced documentary following the stories of several gay men as they attend their first gay cruise.

Interesting look into what happens on a gay cruise and who goes on one
Watched this on netflix. I was curious what a gay cruise is like and what people do on the ship (I always imagined people have sex nonstop). Turns out that's not really the case. Imagine stretching the typical gay bar experience to the duration of 1 week.Multiple themes of particular interest to gay life are touched upon, including love, aging, hiv. Concerning love, seems like a lot of guys dream finding a romantic partner that will somehow make them a lot happier. A lot of it is driven by a sense of loneliness. It is ironic that this is experienced by both the above average looking guys and the below average looking guys, but in opposite ways. The former thinks they get too much "shallow" attention and everybody just want to have sex. The latter gets no attention and wishes for intimacy. But as a result they both don't get enough. An example in the documentary is the Polish guy and the Dubai guy. Concerning aging, not much new is said about it but the observation (in voice of the people in the film) that yeah, youth doesn't last long and one might want to look beyond the surface qualities. Regarding hiv, the usual story about the massive deaths in the early days before it turned into a manageable condition.

Dream boat?
Nothing very much happens in this film. There is a lot of dancing, some kissing, & men talk about their history, their wants, their fears, & the muddles & worries of gays. It isn't clear whether any two men actually get together. There is a curious scene where everyone dresses as a woman. I do not think that most gays go in for transvesticism, which seems to me to be an illogical activity (if you are attracted to men, wouldn't a man dressed as a woman be off-putting?).
