Tornado Vintage Blacksmith Betsy Pen

I have become addicted to the Tornado series of pens by Retro 51. They are beautifully crafted and packaged. Each Tornado pen that I have purchased through Amazon has arrived in perfect condition and all 6 (so far) have performed flawlessly. I sell very high-end luxury automobiles and my clients are always fascinated by the beautiful look and feel of my Retro 51 Tornado pens. In particular they seem to really enjoy the graphics on my set of face card pens. The Joker seems to be the favorite in this set but all are amazing looking and performing examples. This new Betsy edition should prove just as popular. With it's vintage aged look and solid feel this pen will be cherished by any red blooded American who appreciates a great writing pen with a classic design. Old Glory has never looked better.

This is/was a beautiful pen! Writes so nice, eye catching design, all around great pen. The unfortunate thing is during a hectic service for over 300, I raised my arm and it slipped out and directly into an open drain. I will of course buy another one but I will make sure the clip is tight enough to hold my pocket. I have bought several Tornado Retro 51 pens in the past few months and love them all. This was the first that wasn't a tight fit on the pocket. I'll be more careful with the next Betsy I buy.

I've had a model of the Retro 51 Tornado for years. I'm persnickety about my pens and prefer blue archival ink, so since this uses a standard/Parker refill, finding a nice gel rollerball replacement was no problem. While the one I use daily has my company's corporate logo on it, I have bought and gifted these lovely Betsy Ross pens for years. I am active in politics and this is a nice patriotic design. All of the recipients have been happy with it. I just placed another order as I have given away the last one from my previous order.

I was given on of these by a judge and just love the way it writes & feels. Then that nike shoe stupidity took over and I bought a couple in case these were discontinued. Gave away some but kept some for myself. I really like this pen. Everytime someone borrows it they compliment on how well it writes

I really like the look and feel of this pen. Nice retro design, and it writes very smoothly. It would get 5 stars except that mine came with a manufacturer's defect, what appears to be a black marker slash. I'll probably keep it anyway because I don't want the trouble of returning it. Still, I get compliments on this pen and really like it.

This is a very comfortable (hefty) pen that writes a smooth line. Looks great and the finish is very nice, a fairly heavy gloss coat makes it feel solid. The textured metal top is a good tactile touch as well.

The pen is exactly 5" in length. This is important information to those who use a pocket Moleskin notebook with leather cover and pen quiver on the spine. I use to have a bullet space pen and mechanical pencil in the quiver, and the diameter of this pen still allows one of those to be installed as well but might rub off some of the surface lacquer and paint of the Betsy. The ink that comes with this is a little thicker than a fine point felt tip pen.

I'm a big fan of pens and work for our veterans. This pen has the perfect weight, fits snugly in my purse, and writes smoothly. The veterans absolutely love it and so do I. I have pens far more expensive than this one but this one outranks them all. It's patriotic, beautiful, effective, and I can purchase refills.
