Review: Well built, good value! But… - Dependable and strong. I purchased it to mount my MRCOOL12,000 btu mini split outdoor unit. It performs perfectly for that need. However, I needed to install the mount to brick. While the mount comes with quality hardware for installing into wood framing, it does not come with brick or masonry mounting hardware. Perhaps you could use the supplied plastic anchors for masonry. But I didn’t want to trust that. I drilled through the brick (not the mortar) using a hammer drill and secured the mount using tapcon screws made for masonry. Oh, and forget about trusting the accuracy of the built-in level. It was off by a mile. Just use your own level and you’ll be fine. For the price, this mount can’t be beat!
Review: Well made, strong, easy to use, but DON'T trust the built in level - Used it for holding the condenser of a mini-split. Well designed, easy to install, very strong. Used the built-in bubble level for installation. I thought it was so handy! Once everything was installed we stood back and was alarmed that the condenser was obviously not level! Did not see it working up close. Checked with my own level (should have done that first) and one end was 1/2 inch lower than the other! Built in bubble still right in the middle. Other than that it is a fantastic product! Maybe I'll level it out some day, but still giving it 5 stars as I'd buy again in a heartbeat.
