GForce Wood Gate Hinges - Build A Fence Gate The Easy Way - One Person Install - New Heavy Duty Version

We recently put up a wooden fence. For the first gate he bought a "gate package" from the local big box store and within days, it was was sagging. For the other gate he found this hinge set - the instructions were easy to follow, although honestly the whole "saw through the 2'x4'" direction was a little disconcerting. Lo and behold, it worked and this gate is hanging and swinging perfectly.Guess we'll have to dismantle the first gate and re-do it with another set of these heavy duty hinges!

i want to start out by saying, the new Gforce hinges they haven't been installed at this point in time. But I assure you I will always purchase no other hinge. This hinge is by far strong, superior and well built. I have a set installed on one of my other gates. It was installed 2 years ago. i can honestly say if you follow directions the hinges will outlast the gate unless you build it like i did with cedar. i can remember my grandson Vincent at 7 years old was caught hanging from the gate. I have checked the gates for sagging and to my amazement they are absolutely perfect. At that time I said I would never buy any other hinge. i'am absolutely sold.

Easy install as advertised. The hinges are coated well and seem durable. Each five foot gate opens well, and does not visibly sag at all. You will need a socket for your drill or ratchet.My fence guy recommend a steel frame and typical plate hinge, but I insisted on doing the pt wood gates myself using g-force flange hinges. Fence guy is not disappointed. D-Fence of Florida, St. Augustine Florida.I installed four five foot gates with the g-force hinge (Simple), and two gates with the Phoenix hinges (these were more involved). I'm happy with both hinge systems.

I will NEVER buy any other hinges to build gates. These hinges are the easiest hinges to install and provide the most support of any of the brands from big box stores. I had 5 of 6 SETS of G Forces survive 2 hurricanes, even though the fence itself was obliterated. I straightened 2 sets and rebuild one of my own fences and installed 2 more. I couldn't ask for more user friendly product. Follow the directions they come with and they work perfectly.

I would prefer stainless stell only because I am 3 blocks from the beach, but I did spray the hinges with an automotive rubber undercoating to keep the elements from ruining the hinges. Other than that, very smart, strong design.

Does make a gate easier

These are sturdy and easy to install. I don’t foresee sagging being an issue when using these hinges. I will never use strap hinges again and will recommend the G Force hinges to anyone that is building a gate.
