JUNK!
Bought three of these thinking they'd do an adequate job to light my 8' x12' chicken coop, not so. A tea light candle generates more light and lasts longer, unfortunately due to the fire hazard in a chicken coop that's not an option. Heed my review and save ytour money, don't buy these, unless you like throwing money away.

Great light for a chicken coop!
This is meant for my chicken coop and it works perfectly for the space. The wire was long enough to be put exactly where I want it. I like that the bulb had a built in hanger clip, and the panel is small. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts, but I am happy with the purchase and so are my hens.

Simple to use bright light.
I got this solar bulb for my backyard nook - a bench under two trees which is perfect for quiet reading. As you can see from the photos, this light is plenty bright. It's simple to use: connect the micro USB cord from the solar panel and leave in sunlight to charge. When you want to use it, press a button to turn it on.It would also be perfect for camping or emergency use. With hurricane season upon us, it's a good thing to have around, although I hope not to use it for that.

Great Emergency Kit Light
I am putting together a little emergency weather kit for a couple of elderly neighbors and thought I would order a couple of different brands of this type of light to test and see which would fit what I was looking for. First they all arrived at the same time so I looked on the box and found scant but simple instructions. I used a usb plug to charge it right out of the box. the bulb turned red when charging and turned blue when it was finished. I did the same for the others. I set it on high and it lasted fairly longer than the others which ran out after just over 2-4 hours but this one lasted a few minutes shy of 6 full hours on full brightness. I recharged it using the solar panel the next time and it did charge fairly fast as it was a bright sunny day here. I noticed the plug was a c type and tried it in a phone to see if it would charge it also. It did charge it but a bit slower than the usb wall charger it came with, so that was a plus to know the solar panel had another use in my kit(s).The bulb states it is waterproof but I wouldn't drop it into a bucket to test that, I feel it is more waterproof than the others I bought and the hard plastic yellow case is pretty sturdy. A push button to turn on the three modes, bright, dim and strobe then off. A usb plug port with a rubber seal over it for charging, a carabiner and hole on top to fasten where you need it. The charge from the solar panel lasted about the same time it took to charge which was just over 5 hours. The solar panel as with most this size is in a plastic case so you need to be leery of bending it or setting something heavy on it, the cord is long and provides ample length to reach the light is most uses. It comes with 3 stick on pads for mounting and overall seems to fit what I was looking for.I only made 2 test runs with each light so the time the light was on from the usb charging maybe longer as It is used but in our area even 6 hours of extra light during a blackout is a huge help. Out of the 4 lights I tried this one out performed them all hands down.It met my need for affordability, long lasting, portability, multiple charging options (especially solar) and sturdy enough so it would not fracture if dropped, plus it had as 2 others did, have the option to charge your cell phone if the need arises using the solar panel. Overall I feel this is a great little addition to any emergency kit, back packing bag, travel bag or just for the nighttime outdoor bar-b-que or campout. I can now order more and put these kits together knowing that they will be a welcomed addition and ready to go when they are needed!

Strong light, love the solar power, work perfectly!
We bought 2 lights for our duck coop. We previously used the regular lights they sell at our farm store for poultry which have to be plugged in to a socket. We had to string together 4 extension cords to get power out there. The solar power for these lights is so much more convenient for us. These lights are so bright we only need one! They also act as wonderful little lanters for the kids as they button up the coop at night. We love the little hook for hanging it. The bulbs charge even when there is not direct sunlight on a cloudy day. We bought ours because our ducks stopped laying due to decreased daylight this fall. After about 3 weeks of using thes bulbs, the ducks are beginning to lay again! We couldn't be happier with this product. Thank you so much for making these!

great addition to our summer house
This is a great addition to our summer house where we have intermittent energy supply Very convenient, using metal hook can be hanged anywhere or taken down anytime, after bulb is charged no wire needed

Terrible cheaply made
Terrible, it fell apart when I unplugged it to send it back. The lighting was dim, we didn't even get to use it. I missed the return window due to putting it in a desk drawer. DON'T BUY THIS.

Will See how it goes?
I bought this light for my chickens, the light has 3 setting bright, less bright and flashes like a strobe light. ill prob use the less bright setting. when charging its red colored, I think once its fully charged it turns blue? no instructions so this is a guess. gonna use it tonight ill need to charge it every day tho it only last 8 hours. as for the solar panel for me it will be useless.UPDATE, it stays on longer the 8 hours good for about 24 hours at least. I don't use the solar panel I charge this light with a usb im going to buy another I just wish I could get one with out the solar panel there useless
